If you'll post in here, post suggestions to improve the forum's readability and general outlook. Otherwise don't
-disable text size below 50
-fix avatar offset
-change unread forums underline to background gradient image
-same for topics
-same for posts, increase distinction between odd and even posts
-youtube embeds
-more readable thread titles in forum display
-bold/italics/underline shortcuts
-link on main site
-link back to main site (also facebook redirect page linking to both?)
-remove online banners on posts since they're useless
-clickable forum images
-switch forum name with thread/page name or remove forum name altogether
-lua tags with syntax highlighting
-force avatars
-ban group
-different thread icons

Not sure if you'll be able to do this, but a quick reply box at the bottom of threads would be great.
Edit: Awesome, thanks!

They're disabled for a reason. Yes, I could limit the number of images/links/characters/whatever, but what's the point. Signatures are a waste of space and will not be reenabled.byrono wrote:Is it just me or Signatures don't Work.

We won't need a mod until we have like 500 posts per day.

The page titles (what you see on the top of the browser window or on the tabs) should be like this:
[Topic Title] - Stabyourself.net Forum
instead of the other way around.
Because if you open a bunch of topics in different tabs, you look at those tabs and all you see is [Stabyuorself.net][Stabyourself.net][Stabyourself.net]...

Less restrictions on avatars? I seriously have a hard time getting them to be the right dimensions and file size.

I agree with hb, also I haven't looked into this but is there a phpbb script to "j","k" through replies ? I think that would make keyboard movement more functional and would allow me to pretend jokes posted here are of the same quality as on 9gag.com

Getting to new posts is annoying too. I'll move the red icon to right of the title and make the clickable area bigger, since I really like ripping off how facepunch does things.

You don't need to, the text is underlined if there are new posts, that's perfectly fine.Sašo wrote:Getting to new posts is annoying too. I'll move the red icon to right of the title and make the clickable area bigger, since I really like ripping off how facepunch does things.

this? works for me...
on topic, I noticed that when using the quick reply button, if someone comments after I push the button but before I post, when I hit submit, it takes me to a preview of the other person's comment in the full editor as if I were previewing the comment before posting. Hitting submit again submits my original comment though.

That is builtin and intentional. It's used to inform you if a post was made while you were writing, thus allowing you to modify you post for any newly posted information.Kyle Prior wrote:this? works for me...

Do you think instead of just on the threads we could have the little blue red boxes on the different forums like mari0 and not tetris and twitter? If you head over to the löve forums you'll see what I mean.

I'm a bit confused. You want the index to look much more uninteresting and boring?

I do believe he's more along the lines of wanting to see whether or not there's a new post easier.Sašo wrote:I'm a bit confused. You want the index to look much more uninteresting and boring?

I believe there should be a rule that all avatars have to be VERY distinct.
There's a a certain member with a similar looking avatar to Maurice's that confuses me half the time if I only glance at the post. It's like hearing God's own voice, and it turns out to only be Jesus the gardener.

I got a suggestion, you know on posts, on the right left there is either red or blue text. Well it should be something different. Like on minecraft forums they have a bucket, bucket of water, bucket of lava, and if it's blocked it's a redstone wire. Well what should this forum have instead of boring red and blue text?

The right one might be a start.
EDIT: Although, Ŝașo looks much more flamboyant than the rather modest Sašo.

I'd say allow double but no triple. Sometimes just editing your previous post is useless.Camewel wrote:It's be nice to have a rule against double-posting.
