If it doesn't fit elsewhere, it should go here

So, I decided I wanted to learn how to code. I looked up for a tutorial, and found a decent one. I spent a few hours reading it, and learned some stuff. But I don't think it's enough. So, if any of you can give me a good tutorial, I would appreciate it.
Also, I only want to learn lua, but if I need to learn another one before lua, then that's ok.

It really helps to take an actual class.

I know, but I just want to learn it without classes, since I don't have money. I want something like this.

Use Game Maker and read the Game Maker tutorials. Game Maker is basically a game making tutorial, and quite a good one at that.

Learning Lua on it's own is perfectly ok. But as Pyro said, an external resource such as a class goes a long way.
I recently joined a coding forum recommeneded to me by a friend, which is where I've been learning a lot about Lua. So yeah, if classes aren't an option, then try to find a nice forum to study up.
And the manual on Lua.org.
