Hold up...
Let's just rewind a bit.

Recently, Twilight has invented her very own spell. She also became a princess and an alicorn, causing a huge ragestorm in the fandom, but we've calmed down by now.

So now they're making a movie. The plot?
Twilight goes into a parallel human universe, becoming a human and going through an average (for the most part) teenage life.

Anyone else thinking what I'm thinking?
(Also, new page.)

I can already see:

Twilight:"Princess Celestia may have mistaken the place she sent me to"
Yellow Core:"SPAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-"
Wheatley:"Oh hey, did you get outmastered by those who you thought loyal to you and they threw you in space? At least that's what happened to me"

Lol, but no.
Twilight Sparkle was an alicorn, with both magic and flight, and then she's a human, nothing at all except maybe like opposable thumbs or something but I'd rather have magic. IRONY IRONY IRONY.
Also spike just lost his thumbs. DOUBLE IRONY!
Want more irony? She just got downgraded from an alicorn princess to a high school student. TRIPLE FREAKING IRONY IRONY HA HA LOL!!!!!!!!!!

I was searching for aperture turrets on google images and found this.. I thought it was a good idea to share it..

Also: "thx u constisteneo!!!111/1/11!"* is the correct way if you want to put so many exclamation marks AND mess up my name.

I haven't drawn in a while... So I tried something new:
Image
Completely hand drawn (except the name ofcourse).
Full size.
It's quite noticeable up close in this one that it's not done with useful tools.

Trist, you quoted the image and it's way too big, would you mind if you won't use the "quote" or just say -image- where the image has to be and delete the link?
I'm just trying to be helpful.

On topic, a straight line is simple. If you haven't drawn until now you should make it in segments (like make a segment, take the pencil off the paper, repeat). I for one can draw a pretty straight line now that I drew a lot. (not really sure if it was because I drew a lot or because I had a really steady hand that day)

So, let's better talk about ponies because we're kinda off-topic.
I never asked, but Sundae Scoops is your OC, right Jorichi?

If you check the full sized one, you'll notice none of these lines are straight. In fact, it's pretty horrible.

Yeah, she is. And she pretty much grew on me while I tried to develop her character.
I should really try to get her story out, I've just been wondering how.

It shouldn't be very hard to make up a story; unless you're naming the parents and such.

The story is pretty much together already, just need to type it out.
But I want/need visuals to go with it. I'll most likely make a comic of it... someday...
Just text won't really get the feelings across, I think. That and my English vocabulary just isn't big enough.

I'm not sure on what to do with this, so I'm letting you guys make the decision for me.
Let me explain a little.

I have an idea for this comic. Constructive criticism is more than welcome. The background isn't finished, I know.
The story about Sundae Scoops, Virtual Reality and his assistant A.M.Y.
The story is mostly written in my mind and I have the first few pages of the comic in mind as well.
Several preparations have already been made to get this started (getting special fonts, creating layout ideas and pinning a unique style).

However, there are still a few 'gaps' in the story (certain parts between events are hard to fill). I have yet to create several more characters to make this story a little more interesting. Developing personalities. Etc, etc.

But I have a few questions for those who actually give a crap:
First off; Should I do this?
Would this style suit for a comic? If not, what would I need to change for it to fit?
How would you like me to present it to you guys (e.g: In this thread, in its own thread, on DeviantArt, on my blog)?
Should I let you guys help me out as I progress? As in giving me ideas and suggestions while I 'publish' pages of the comic.
Any suggestions are welcome as well.

If you want to and you have the time, sure. I mean, you like drawing and ponies, so you can make comics your hobby.
Jorichi wrote:Does the art style fit?
I think the characters should be more distinctive, so they don't blend in with the background. They look a bit like they're made out of plasticine. A stroke would help I think, but I'm not sure if you want it. That style doesn't fit really good in a comic. @Trist3D The heads and necks look fine.
Jorichi wrote:Thread, DeviantART, Blog?
I think it would be better in its own thread.

Also, who is the purple pony on the ball? This question gave me an idea. Why don't you let us design some more characters when you ran out of them? Just choose a personality and were going to do the rest.

I was planning on doing it at my own pace. But I've noticed I'm more eager to draw than to actually do something else lately.

Not really sure what you mean by "A stroke would help". I do however think they "blend in with the background" to a certain extent.
An idea that passed my mind was to give the characters a small black (or dark gray) border around their outlines (like Paper Mario, just less thick of a line).
popcan12 wrote:Well, how about all 3 places? (In it's own thread, on your devientart and on your blog)
It's likely I will post them on my blog. Not sure about DeviantArt though.
As for the thread:
Costinteo wrote:I think it would be better in its own thread.
I'd like that as well so I can work with the feedback, but only if it's okay with Maurice and Sašo ofcourse.
Costinteo wrote:Also, who is the purple pony on the ball? This question gave me an idea. Why don't you let us design some more characters when you ran out of them? Just choose a personality and were going to do the rest.
I really could use some help with the designing of characters, so help is really welcome. But I might be a bit nit-picky on that, however suggestions never seize to inspire me.

The purple pony on the ball is one of the main characters of the story, Amy. I don't really want to tell too much or I'll spoil a few things.
But if you're eager to know you can check this spoiler:
Amy or more specific A.M.Y. is Virtual Reality's assistant.
She is Virtual's most prized creation. A.M.Y. stands for Artificial Module Y. She's actually a self-sustaining physical hologram. The fact that she's a hologram explains why she doesn't have a cutiemark.
The floating Orb she tends to hang on is her source. This source makes her able to 'exist' without the need of Virtual's magic, you can see it as some sort of battery stored with Virtual's magic. The orb can be referred to as 'Amy's Heart'.
A.M.Y. can't go beyond a certain radius of this orb, she will dissipate if she does (due to lack of Magic) and would need to 'recast' herself from the orb (which takes several minutes). Virtual will need to 'recharge' this orb every now and then.
This all will be explained in more detail in the story. Virtual's 'talent' will be explained as well, which will make this all a little more clear.
