Gonna go back to my old avatar tomorrow again

I changed in the meantime for hatninja

...'cause my 2-year anniversary of being on this site is tomorrow!

I think we should all celebrate these
considering that most of us signed up in march 2 years ago
back when Mari0 was released.

So I'm going to assume the stick of truth's going to  _______   _________  when it comes out in Australia and I'll  _________   ___________  but that's assuming the game and the  ___  don't  __________   __________  and everyone uses walky talkies instead of  _______   ______

Also after seeing footage of the new Yoshi Island game I'm not that exited like I usually am for these games, I'm going to wait for a review before I make the final choice however. (I'm not optimistic) Also what happened to Yarn Yoshi that looked way more interesting.

Hooray for anniversary day!

Yeah, I'm not too excited about Yoshi's New Island. I mean, I loved the original, but YNI (weird acronym...) just doesn't show anything new. If I hadn't gotten the GBA Yoshi's Island over Christmas, I probably would buy YNI.
I guess I'm going to have to wait for a review, too.

Speaking of which, I found it odd that Nintendo never released SNES Yoshi's Island on the virtual console. Perhaps the graphics chip that came with the game wasn't supported by the emulator...?

My prediction: if Yarn Yoshi's not shown at e3, then it's canceled.

2 days before a piano judge-competition thing and I played Rondo Alla Turque (ugh why are all of the songs we had to choose from classical :/) ABSOLUTELY PERFECTLY!

And then my hand was friggin smashed by a basketball an hour later.
Can't even move two of my fingers. Jesus christ.
If anyone needs me I'll be drowning myself in Snapple so I don't have to drown in self pity.

Wow good job life this is totally convenient thanks for getting me injured when there was nothing major going on this is sarcastic fuck you

Thanks Skye; it means a lot.
Glad you laughed 'cause at least I know I'm still funny even though I'm in excrusiating pain
Actually when it first happened I looked down at my bent hand and laughed hysterically for like 5 minutes straight with my friend because I knew I was totally screwed and I was also about to cry if I didn't
Still hurts though.
What sucks for me is that I can't play piano AT ALL which is really tricky to be without while songwriting, which I've been doing a shit-ton of recently for reasons you guys may or may not already know

My first try with one ended on the third press as I got teleported into a wall in the corner of the map.

Never trust the teleporter. I kid you not, the first time I grabbed the teleporter, on the first ever use, BOOM in a wall. I never grabbed one after that again.

The lesson here is that the teleporter sucks.

I'm with idiot on the teleporter though.
Although to be honest I'm dying way too much at the moment anyway.
Because I only have one hand to play with :/

I made it to the black market three times in a row though.
Every single time, an orange frog ticked off the shopkeepers and I died though
This was when I first started. I just got worse and worse the more I played. I'm just gonna rest my hand for a while.
I'll be on steam if anyone needs me I guess

I finished “Eats, Shoots & Leaves” recently, and I agree fully with the author about apostrophes, it's/its, your/you're and their/they're/there. It's/its ticks me off the most. WHEN YOU ARE NOT USING ITS AS A POSESSIVE, DO NOT USE AN APOSTROPHE! IT DOES NOT WORK THAT WAY! GAHH!

I always wonder how people mess up "there" vs "their" and "your" vs "you're". It's not something that ticks me off or something but how do some native English speakers get these kinds of things wrong?

Also, things like "could of" and "lose" vs "loose"...

Your right, their are many people that mix up those words
I'm just joking if you couldn't tell
I might've messed up those words a few times (probably not on the forums, but in twitch and steam I might mess up)

I have a theory, I think people say it in their head and type it as they "say" it so they won't care how it's supposed to be spelled. Either that or they're just lazy.

I agree with you. I always try to spell correctly. English isn't even my first language, and I get badly impressed how native speakers makes mistakes that I don't.

Not sure if intended, as a joke, Alesan, but...

Add "to" vs "too" to the list. For a moment I read "their are to many people" on the first line two posts back...

Sometimes non-native speakers seem to be better at English than (another one) native ones. Or native ones are just more creative with making mistakes...

I just played that new Mario Kart GP DX, and it was MUCH better than I expected.

It's all in clear HD, the details in the course are amazing, and so on.
I played through a level called Bowser's Factory, and just the entrance to the course looked much better than any other Bowser's Castle.

There were a couple of problems, though:
1) It's a mashup of Namco and Mario characters. I honestly hate it when this happens; I dislike how often the Miis (and their sports resort island) show up in MKW and MK7. TWO whole courses dedicated to something unrelated to Mario? Why? DIdn't they have their own Pilot Wings?
I'm fine with including the Mii as a playable character, but that's as far as it goes.
2) Drifting was messed up entirely. It made you turn less sharply, but it gave you a temporal shield...
3) The game has 3 randomized preset items assigned to you before the race; one to throw forwards, one to throw backwards, and a defensive item. The game has the largest pool of items available, including some only present in Double Dash.
In other words, they screwed up the item system too.

But yeah, I'd love for Namco to help with the main Mario Kart series as these are things that Nintendo has control over.

I'm guessing that its as rare to get an alien in a pot, as it is to get a plasma cannon in a crate.
But about that article, what was the alternate page for classic?
