"Discuss!" is a terrible way to start a thread and you should feel awful that you even started it this way.
And for the discussion part: I never really liked playing snapshots in the first place, since their a pain to install for me and it's riddled with bugs usually. I understand their importance but I never like using them.

Out of trying to get you to contribute to your own thread instead of leaving it to others curiosity what makes the new snapshot so great in your opinion?Jackostar10000 wrote:Your loss! The new snapshot is great!

I saw it release, I haven't tried it yet, though.
There's no update Minecraft can't offer that there's already a mod for.

Haven't used it much. I really like the new biomes, (particularly the covered forest one, I think I'd like the redwood one as well, but I haven't found it.) I really like the Amplified world generator.
At the end of the day the my favorite part is the new command block commands, the scoreboard additions, and the ability to modify nbt stats will command blocks. Not that it allows me to build something I couldn't build before. One can do a lot with custom monster spawners. It's just a lot easier to use command blocks.

I've got to say, AMPLIFIED world type is, amazing! I've always wanted something like this without the need of a mod, and the best part is, my computer can still run it at 60fps!

I would tell you to take your own advice on this one, but I don't think I could categorize you as "smart".Jackostar10000 wrote: P.S don't act like a smart ass.

I'll try to make my question a bit more clear,Jackostar10000 wrote:I like all of it!
What makes this snapshot so interesting and is there a an exiting feature that would make people like me or Idiot interested in playing the snapshot?

They sure as hell fixed the horse spawning and made leetle horse baybeez. They now spawn in clutches, with their particular race taken into account. Mossy cobblestone is now easy as hell to find with small ruins dotting biomes. Amplified biomes pretty much take all those pretty seeds you see floating around the net and shove them into one giant (And awesome) clusterfuck of amazing mountains and floating air islands. Fishing. Yay.
I dunno, that's all I've gotten so far, if you aren't too interested in the new biomes.
Also I don't think Minecraft is too much about excitement. I don't really care too much about how you see it in the context of "entitled to one's opinion", but I like Minecraft because it ISN'T exciting. It's more of intrigue based on the desire to explore and survive.

Jeb is pretty much shitting out every request at this point just to make money. Horses? You got em. Fast as fuck baby zombies? Yep. What's next? Swaggy shakes? Swaggy fries? Herobrine? Cars? Seriously guys Minecraft is turning into the grandmapocalypse from cookie clicker. Jeb is not doing this shit for the communtity anymore like Notch did, he's doing it to make money so he can perform plastic surgery on his creepy as fuck face or cat.

I don't think that's the case. I presume you don't like horses?

Hahaha while it is true I can't stop laughing, I was just wondering how long you were playing Minecraft when Notch was the head. I have heard way too many things on this argument, and although I am super interested, I have to admit I haven't played much Minecraft since post-release 1.2, having played since veeerrryyyy vvvveeerrryyyyy early on.WiloKing wrote:Jeb is pretty much shitting out every request at this point just to make money. Also,
What. How is the grandmapocalypse related to minecraft? It's just end-game content.WiloKing wrote:Seriously guys Minecraft is turning into the grandmapocalypse from cookie clicker.

As someone who played since before Sponge was added to Classic Creative, I have to say, this post gave me cancer. How dare someone work in order to obtain money? It is a crime against nature, is it not? Who works for /money/?WiloKing wrote:Jeb is pretty much shitting out every request at this point just to make money. Horses? You got em. 1.8 will be very cool. I seriously hope they add more value to water temples and add even bigger ones.

I can't wait until 1.1 comes out with the modding api.
Oh wait.

Well the mod api is a big thing, and they need to clean-up minecraft's code (since it's game-jam quality code). They added resources packs, customisable world generation, stuff like that because the re-factorisation process allowed that.
