In my opinion, My Little Pony : Friendship is Magic hit it's highest note in S2 Finale. Rather than making underhanded hints/references for adults watching the show, they finally did something awesome. A full fledged fight, without using the elements. They actually punched. That was them recognizing that children didn't watch the show anymore, but they knew adults did.

TL'DR: Just watch it. Even if you aren't a aaaaa.
