I'm just getting more and more bummed that that one guy couldn't remember me in the Criticism thread.
Also, what's up with Knuckles?
And finally, I'm starting a Love game, but I thought it would be fun to put the characters and antagonists and such up for vote. Would this be a good idea?

Good point.
Can't the page count go to 100 and beyond? (Especially if people stopped counting down?)

I figured out why the animation clock in "GLADIATAHHH!" wasn't working
Turns out it had nothing to do with bad loops or unused functions
I actually just spelled the variable that starts the game 3 different ways throughout my code
Wow I'm smart.

If anyone's curious (which is probably no one except maybe one weirdo who watched my stream xD) how far I made it in roughly 3 hours of livestreaming (where I chatted a lot and did other stuff besides code), here's the .love (only works with 0.9.0)

Most of the work today was getting the animation clock system working. I hadn't tried coding animations this way before and it was a nice experiment. I'm glad it worked out, because this lets me add in more animations fairly quickly (once I tweak and finish the code a bit). I could have made the code a lot more efficient and adaptable, but I'm saving that kind of thing for after I get the game to a point I'm content with. if anyone wants to hear the music I put it here instead of including it with this .love since right now even showing this is practically pointless. I'll have more tomorrow. All in all a nice and somewhat productive night.

*sonic boom topic*
I'm not sure how to feel about it, I've only seen the game so far and I'm liking the game play (the characters feel a bit off in it compared to the concept art I've been seeing.) And I'm exited they're doing a co-op sonic game again.
I just hope it's more focused on what it wants to be and take a step away from what sonic lost world was.

As for the designs I like how it looks but Sonic and *guess who* seem to be the only ones I can see a big difference in, the rest kinda just got a new change of clothes.
I'm optimistic and I'm hoping this comes out good.

Everyone. I mean, if you don't know much about programming, and you have a thousand game ideas in your head, obviously you aren't gonna finish your first game.(Unless it's a small game, but usually your first game ideas are huge)
Also "choosing the names of the characters" shouldn't be more important than "learning your game engine", when you're trying to make a game.

Eggman seems more buff now, too. The game looks fun, but Sonic looks off, even compared to the new design. Centered mouth does not look good on him. The show looks decent, too, but I'm glad this isn't replacing the existing Sonic series

I'm learning the engine right now.
It's not like I was gonna rush in and pretend to know what I'm doing.
It's kinda funny how so many people don't finish their first project.

Also, the more I look at the Sonic Boom picture, the more I think about it. I don't even play many Sonic games.

But in all actuality, i think i might make a game with this when the engine is done!

The problem is how you worded it. There are many ways to say the same thing as honest as that without sounding too rude.

Also about Sonic Boom, the characters look pretty decent, except for Knuckles (For obvious reasons) and Sonic, which for some reason looks a bit off to me.

The main thing that was changed on Sonic was his arms. They were changed from a skin-tone like his stomach to blue like his fur. Other than that he got a scarf and that tape everywhere like they all have.

I absolutely love what they've done with sonic, sports tape included. (okay, maybe not the sports tape.)

It's funny whenever I hear people say sonic's a bad series and needs to die when they're normally talking about 06.
also Vakema123 you pick up that game now or I will punch you somehow, (I actually prefer colours to generations simply because it doesn't reuse levels.)

if the cartoon/game doesn't use this song somewhere I'm going to cry.
also if they just shortened his legs a lil bit I'd be okay but jesus when he moves those longs arms and legs it's scary.

The long arms and legs started in Sonic Adventure, am I right?
Also, if it's too scary, just play the classic games, they were the start of the Sonic series.

No his arms and legs were completely fine in thos games this is a good comparison of what I mean and I'm not petty enough to skip something just because "The characters are different" otherwise I may as well be the one bitching about green eyes.

There's the best remix of VGM on YouTube.
If it hasn't been stated enough already, what the duck's up with Knuckles?
And then I think they overdid the duct tape things on Sonic just a tad too much.
Meanwhile..
I finally had enough time to have enough time to be myself again.
Awesome Bros. was hell to port to SE, or at least until I realized I could just make all new levels based on the prototypes. That failed, so I'm making something you that makes the entire community's mind as a collective explode.
I realize this post is sort of misshapen but it's pretty late at night and work and school and take that Camewel I got the girl right where I want her, and there's only today and tommorrow to stand in my way, Awesome Bros., business..

Oh if I ever make a post at...I don't know maybe an hour or so before the time this is posted, and it's really weird or something is confusing or out of place, that just means I posted really late at night (which means this is reaaalllyyyyy late but I can't sleep so....).
You mentioned getting your girl back like 6 pages ago... surprised I even remember anything about that.
Who's Tom Morrow? Yes. Making fun of spelling errors. I did just stoop that low. Given your amazing criticism post, it's more than understandable though.

...If anyone really likes those video game remixes I linked to, they're all by remixers/arrangers that I'm a huge fan of, so I'd recommend checking out their channels too :)
Hope everything goes well with your girl thing Wilo
Also on the topic on Sonic Boom, anyone think Crush 40 might make some new songs for something related to that? I LOVE Crush 40. I'd love to hear fresh, new songs to add to my current list of like 8 that I listen to constantly.

I don't get why, but that reminds me i wanted to write this a while ago:

"Hello, little customers, thank you for all the products you bought, but our intentions of having our science in your house have to go farter, and- eh, wait, did i just say "farter"? Really? That sound like fart, and that's completely ridi- oh, i see, it's "further", eh, okay.... Well, little customers, the point is that your freedom is over. Stop screaming and submit to the power of Pato..."

It's a little speech of what would Antilitus say if he do it (I mean "The next step")

Is that the right word (submit)?

PS: Why diabolical?

Well I played both of them but I abused the F key for the entirety of the first. :P
As for the second one, I didn't actually complete it yet, but from what I can see, it reminds me of the Dimentions mappack which reminds me of VVVVVVV.
But the Mario theme makes it remind me more of SMB Special which also didn't scroll the screen until you reached the edge of it. Pretty sure that's why nobody liked it, but I may be wrong.
So yeah.
EDIT: Playing IWBTG for 2 seonds made me realize that the sequel was ripping it off.

Not entirely sure it's the actual term for it, but other than "background color", i've always seen it referenced as the "transparent color", as once the sprites are used in a game, that color correspond to the transparent parts.

It is pretty challenging. I did it by getting a jetpack pretty early in the game, then ghosting (passing the ghost over gems to make them worth 5000) every level. I also ghosted the shopkeeper guarded vaults, which give ~80,000 for each one. I had unlocked the achievement by the end of 3-3. The run could have easily ended multiple times, I had some really close scares with shopkeepers throwing me and me somehow not dying. I even got shot once, lasted with 1 health left. Run was VERY lucky.
