When you multiply an inequality, you have to switch the direction.WillWare wrote:NO.Camewel wrote:Code: Select all

WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT CAMEWEL. WHY.
I know that you were making a point, but IT HURTS.See how it feels?Code: Select all
x < y x - y < y - y (subtract y from both sides) x - y < 0 x - y - x < -x (subtract x from both sides) -y < -x y < x (multiply both sides by -1)

I think a lot of people lost interest in it (according to Sam (I think), there's 5 people who are actively posting). Either we get some ashwum idea for Chap. 4 or we kill all the characters and end the story.
So, what's 'Twatter Story: Aftermath' that Turret was talking about??

People dropped out because the story was terrible. Chapter 3 had an unbelievably shitty premise. And I have some ideas for the next chapter, so if we can keep some people on board I think we may be able to continue. The problem is, some people are assuming that the next chapter has to follow the previous one. That makes no sense; why the hell can't we just start a brand new plot with the same characters?

I'd love to get back on board with the Twatter Story if this were to happen; I don't feel like reading fourteen pages of text since the last time I posted.Pyrosaur wrote:People dropped out because the story was terrible. I'd have to bring back the Chaos Emeralds, though.

I would be fie with a new story.
Also, I'm 14, and I look about 12, so it's cool that I act 15 or 17.

This is what I actually asked for Chapter 3. But people didn't seem to want it. I hope they are willing to do so now.Pyrosaur wrote:That makes no sense; why the hell can't we just start a brand new plot with the same characters?
I'll get on board as soon as I like the idea/story.
I also had the idea of creating some sort of 'dungeons & dragons' type of thread.
Let me show you the idea real quick and tell me what you think:
The Topic-Poster will be the 'Dungeon Master' (someone who's He sets up a scene where you and everyone else (you venture as a group) are currently at.
You as a player join the thread by writing your traits and specialties down in the first post you make (These traits and specialties will more or less decide whether or not some of your actions will have a high or low chance of succeeding (Yes I'd actually use a D8 for that)).
You can then join the game by taking a turn/making a move.
A move can consist of several types of actions. For example: Search the drawer, check if the door is open.
A turn ends as soon as you enter an 'unknown' event or scene. Example: player: "I go through the door.". Right after you go through a door, you don't know what is behind it, so your turn is ended. Who knows, maybe the door is locked if you haven't checked before.
And to keep things simple as every other forum game: You can only post if two other people have already taken a turn after your previous turn.
It might just become a more organized version of Twatter Story. Heck, we could even switch the 'Dungeon Master' once a story comes to an end, to keep the stories diverse and original.
Tell me what you guys think of this idea. And yes I know that forum games currently aren't allowed. I just wanted to know your opinions on this. I'd post it if it's well received and allowed.
(and please don't steal this idea ;p )

So "Twatter Story RPG"? Not bad, not bad. I might join that. I'd prefer the current, freeform style, however.Jorichi wrote:I also had the idea of creating some sort of 'dungeons & dragons' type of thread.

More or less, yes. However, if I could just find a way for people to add more to the story than just their current actions...WillWare wrote:So "Twatter Story RPG"? Not bad, not bad. I might join that. I'd prefer the current, freeform style, however.
That is the case with all the forum games I guess. But you make a good point.Pyrosaur wrote:Sounds like it has some potential. Although as with most things on this forum, the level of enjoyment depends on those who participate.
It's just that I'd like people to add more than just their actions. Like something more personal to their characters (their history, their thoughts) or something, also stuff like dialogue and such always add to the story itself.
These are the things I really need to figure out to make it a nice 'forum game'.

I see what you mean about Twatter Story. In many cases, it seems as if some of the writers are giving a summary of the events they are describing. What I mean is, they are simply saying what occurred rather than actually describing them. I just seems...incomplete. Fortunately, it's not the case for all of the writers in Twatter Story. I hope that everyone tries to take their time a little more in the next chapter to provide a more well thought-out contribution to the story.Jorichi wrote:That is the case with all the forum games I guess. I've been fleshing out the idea for this game with a friend of mine. The idea is great and we had a blast playing it with several others. The players their history started to blend with the story of the Game Master (because everyone gave great info and stories about their characters while playing), which made it just so awesome to play.
I will do my best to do this in the forum version of this too, if it ever happens and the players manage to show a nice way of sharing their characters and their history.
However, for the forum there are a few things that would make it... different.
It would be hard to make turns. So we came up with 'who ever posts first without breaking the 'two post in between' rule'. I guess that's the best.
Another problem would be that the 'Game/Dungeon Master' has to be active, as he has to post after every turn someone takes so the story can progress. Maybe two Masters would be a good option, two who can work together easily.
But I don't know if you know this: When there is a new post in a thread there will appear an orange paper icon in front of the Topic's title. Clicking it will bring you directly to the first unread post in the topic.
Reforming Twatter Story would also require updating the rules (which could just be a link to the rules-post in the topic's first post), which could make things confusing.
But I think that there are several people who prefer the original Twatter Story, so I'd rather not do that.

As you might have thought that was my plan, it really wasn't (as sam already stated).Bonko wrote:I think their should be a new thread for the rpg. So you dont gotta go to page 28- every time.

I'll get working on the character design (again) now. I'll see which direction the story goes before joining.

Alright, I barely ever post here anymore, but I've noticed something in my time lurking.
There are too many pointless posts that try to convey an unfunny joke, or are just a single word, not really helping the person who asks a question or posts something. We've probably all done this at least once, but it's really annoying seeing stuff like that so much. Especially people who roleplay for no reason, or act as if everyone here knows you.
Basically, some of the post quality here is really bad.

Actually, we just started a new chapter. It' a brand new story, so you don't necessarily need to catch up on the last three chapters.

I'm going to get this out of the way before anything dumb happens.
logepoge1 is a friend of mine from school. I showed him Mari0, and he fell in love with it immediately. That's how he knows about the site.
He watched me as I was on the forums recently and jokingly said that he'd make an account and mess with me on here. I laughed at it, not thinking he was serious about making an account. Well, he did. He doesn't come across to me as one too familiar with forums. He admitted it himself. We may have another difficult contender on the forums now, depending upon how long he sticks around. Most of the time, he's not a bad guy. Sometimes he is. I'm a little worried.
Without further ado, please welcome my friend logepoge1.
Don't get me wrong - he's not an inherently bad person, just the opposite, in fact. Just don't be surprised if something weird happens.
