I see Amiibos as... extra unnecessary DLC for a video games. It's a total scam. They knew it would be a success because kids at the age 5 LOVE toys, and Hardcore collectors LOVE to waste money on anything with a Nintendo logo...

I see absolutely nothing wrong with Amiibo as of current. They add extra content that has no impact on the games if you don't use them.

Smash Bros. 4 is probably the only one that uses them the most, since Amiibo Fighters, but without them, Smash is still smash. They're just AI you "train".
Other games just give you things for using them:
-Hyrule warriors = free gear you could get from normal gameplay
-Mario Kart 8 = New Mii-only suits that don't change anything
-Captain Toad = hidden toad sprites

It's like the definition of DLC that's good: Extra content that doesn't change the game a whole lot if you don't buy it.
And since you only need 1 Amiibo to use them for many games, it's meaning you get DLC for many games with a single $12 purchase. Hell, Mario Party 10 will let you use both Smash-style Amiibo or the upcoming Party-style Amiibo, so you only need to buy 1 Mario if you want content for both games.

I don't see the need for this kind of question, to be honest. I don't like JohnHOne, but that's just the way I think of him. Maybe he's completely different in real life. Maybe not. I mean, I didn't like Wary in the past for pretty much the same reasons, but now he's a better user, so I hope John becomes one too.

Furious, I think it's kinda rude that you're trying to call people to arms just to be mean to John. He may not make the best posts or the best mods, but that doesn't mean you should go into another thread just to say "hey let's all say we hate this one person in particular".
That serves no purpose other than to put others down, and that's not right.

Yeah, Qcode's right. There's no perfect user in this forums. Everybody has it's flaws. Some stand more than others, but it's no need to point out.
Look, Furious, you're a cool dude, but don't go saying bad things of other users. You've bumped threads to say "Cool stuff", which is completely against the rules, but we didn't judge you; instead, we explained you things.

Why not, instead of saying you don't like John, tell him how he can improve? If you tell him how he can become a better user, YOU will become a better user along!

So guys, who is everyone rooting for / betting on for the Super Bowl? Personally, I'm rooting for the Patriots. Tom Brady is a great quarterback and since the Giants have bested him twice, it seems only fair for him to finally get the 4th Super Bowl he's been after for a while. To be among a very small group of quarterbacks to reach that milestone. I'm sure he deserves it. Unless the deflated ball theory is true and he was in on it. But physics definitely aren't in the favor of the obnoxious media trying to stir up a controversy instead of focusing on real issues. Wilfork has been with the team for a really long time too, and the more you read about him the more it makes you want to root for a team he's on.

I wonder how the commercials are going to be this year. They were really good in '09 and '12, in my opinion. When my family is over we always like to vote on which ones are our favorites. Although this year might be a little more hostile because the majority is rooting for the Patriot but my brother HATES them :P

As for the team I'm a fan of, we got a new general manager and a new defensive coordinator, so as long as these absurd quarterback questions are resolved I think next year is something worth looking forward to.

And that feeling you are probably feeling is still not even close to how little I and most reasonable people care about bans that weren't even worth noting when they were relevant

I watched the superbowl last year I believe, or the year before that. I figured it would be kinda like the football world cup, just an all out exciting game (of a sport unknown to be to be fair) with some fancy commercials.

Nope. It didn't feel like even 20 minutes of gameplay and the thing lasted 3 hours. It felt very stereotypically American - all show and almost no substance.

I find the gameplay interesting. The many different player positions / formations and play calls. Statistics and analysis are fun, especially when I get the chance to be in a yearly pool where we make picks on which teams will win. That's why I watch it at least. It's definitely all up to personal preference. I was mainly poking fun at myself for being so interested in it when that's usually not an interest of my demographic, but it doesn't take much for me to get really into something. Don't know why.
