I've been looking around and I can't find it (maybe it doesn't even exist), wasn't there a mod that added special collectable coins that saved on the main menu or something?

So, I want to get off my ass and learn LOVE. I figured if I'm going to do something over the summer, might as well be something I want to do.
Is there anywhere I should start?

First, you can try to learn lua here : http://tylerneylon.com/a/learn-lua/ (It's intended for programmers.)
Then look at the löve wiki, read some examples, then try to do some simple games like pong.
You can also try to mod Mari0 to learn.

Before learning how to use love you should learn how to code in Lua.
Best way of doing that is reading the Programming in Lua book from online: http://www.lua.org/pil/contents.html#P1
I'd recommend reading from chapter 2 until about chapter 8. That's what you're going to be using the most. It would also help to read chapters 18, 19, and 20.
While you're reading along it's a good idea to test Lua with the online demo. Just make a few little test programs that correlate to what you're reading about.
Once you've done that and you've got a good grip of Lua you should head over to the love wiki.
At the love wiki I'd recommend reading first about the Callback Functions. Then read the Hamster Ball tutorial to give yourself a bit of insight on how a love program works.
That should be a good amount of what you need to know. Before you start something big, you should make a TON of tests. Just seeing what you can do, experimenting around with different stuff. Also don't be afraid to read other people's code. That'll help you learn a lot too.
If you ever need any help with anything, you can contact me and I'll do my best to help. :)
EDIT: Ninja'd by Auto. Still posting anyway.

Start from the beginning, and work your way up.
It is a great way to learn.

So... I made a drawing with the pencils I just got from the store.
Professional drawing pencils. You won't believe how much I wanted those pencils. I never got around to buying them, because I always forget about it.
But now I have them and they're absolutely amaaaazing. :D
Just thought I'd share that.
Also, I didn't know VVVVVV had a level editor. Or is it somekind of a side program? (never played the full game)

So, I decided to completely redo an old game project of mine on a completely different engine with some re-tweaked graphics/items. So far it's looking pretty good.

Um... happy birthday, also, look at my location, if you did not have a cat you do now, according to my location, which for some reason doesn't show. So I'll write it for you: "Location: Your house, because I am your cat."

Hey guys, I got Ubuntu 13.04 for VirtualBox. It's kinda awesome. The reason I had to install it in VirtualBox is because I don't have a spare computer.

Can you tell me a single person who cares ? Seriously, you talk all the time about things that you are doing. Why don't talk about something like a new game coming ?Turtley3 wrote:Hey guys, I got Ubuntu 13.04 for VirtualBox. It's kinda awesome. I always seem to start things that get beaten into the ground.
The obvious lesson is stop stealing my jokes you unoriginal sillies.

Wonder how long it'll be until ebay shuts this guy down:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Brand-New-Compl ... 6d&vxp=mtr
$32.99 for the best iTouch out there.
The guy has never sold anything on ebay.
15 people have bought one within an hour from him.
He has over 10 left.
And people keep buying them...
Wow. I'm losing faith in humanity altogether, now.
