What is that from? Because NP isn't canon, the magazine itself is official.

T'was slight sarcasm with the proof part.
I have no knowledge of it's origins. Look it up for yourself if you want to.

It is canon that during at least a moment in Mario history, Bowser and Peach were married.
But everyone knows that.

Everyone who's played Super Paper Mario at least. That's the only time that Bowser and Peach have been married, if I recall.
....that was a really weird part of that game as well.

So while we're on the topic doesn't this make Mario an asshole and Peach a cheating b*tch?idiot9.0 wrote:Everyone who's played Super Paper Mario at least. That's the only time that Bowser and Peach have been married, if I recall.

Well Mario's just trying to save the day as normal, and Peach was forced to say "I do" during the wedding, so I wouldn't believe so. But everyone will believe their own reasonings.

I said she's a cheating B*tch because there's been no proof they divorced...

I didn't want to say they were actually married, because I didn't play the game to the end to know if they divorced or not, but now that I know...

Does anyone know of a good free livestream program? All I want to do is record my entire desktop.
I also should note I'm running Windows XP SP3.

By livestream, do you mean something like a youtube livestream so everyone can see? (That would be Twitch)
If you mean something to show your friends your desktop, join.me is pretty good.
Edit: O: O: O: idiot agrees with me! O: O: O:

For showing your desktop to friends or family, Join.me is a good program, as Jony said. It's not that PC heavy, but it's not good for showing gameplay if that's what you're trying to do.
For streaming on such sites like Twitch.Tv, then OBS (Open Broadcast Software -- yes that is it's real name) is the best free program you can get. It takes a minute to get used to the layout, and you may have problems with it if you're using a laptop. Xsplit is a good choice as well, but the free version gives you limited options and may put a watermark on your stream as well, but it works on laptops if OBS gives you trouble there.

Thanks for the help JonyMyster and Idiot9.0. I should've clarifyied too that I wanted to use Twitch.tv.
I didn't know Xsplit had a free version, too. I thought it was going to have a membership or some crap for the free version.
I think I'll try OBS.
EDIT: Downloaded it, and I guess it requires DirectX 10, and I need to have at least Windows Vista SP2. Oh well, at least I can use Xsplit.
Should I try this? http://www.techmixer.com/download-direc ... indows-xp/
My only concern would be that this will screw up Scribblenauts Unlimited.
I guess I'll also say that I won't be on the forums for about a week. So... I guess when I get back I'll have to catch up on my stuff. :P

With Xsplit, as I said the free version is limited. It may put a watermark on, you're only allowed a few different scenes (saved setups), sound quality is locked to a certain type, and the highest you can set the frame rate to is 25 fps. All that is required to use it is if you sign up on their website.
(This is all based on my last time I tried streaming, back in ye olde days when I had a decent laptop to stream on. Xsplit's free version could've changed since then, so I'd suggest looking into it further if you want to try it.)

Well I guess I'll try Xsplit. If that isn't "free", then I might install DirectX 10.

Okay, this is just kind of bugging me, but why do the forums output that the Federal Bureau of Investigations and the Bundezpolizei are supposedly online on these forums? It's silly.

I really liked that game, trying to find it's secrets. I was surprised because I only recently found out that apparently most people don't like the game... then again, I haven't played the previous paper Mario games. However I've watched a friend of mine playing the first game, and it was very different, however the games being different just doesn't seem like a good enough reason to dislike that game for me...idiot9.0 wrote:Everyone who's played Super Paper Mario at least. People hated on SPM because it wasn't advertised properly. They expected a turn-based fighting system and they didn't get one so understandably they were pretty annoyed.

I really liked it (until I was robbed), and the only problem there was was that there was way too much storyline/dialogue. It was everywhere. I didn't notice at first, but then someone pointed it out and I was slightly annoyed. Otherwise, it was fun.

No, I'm fine with it, but I found that there was a lot of it everywhere. And sometimes I really don't feel like reading it. But I paid full attention in cave story.

Well depending on how you're playing my response's going to be different.
If you're playing it for the second time,
It can be very annoying to have to watch a un skip able cut scene or dialog you know about already, I wish more games had an option to skip really long scenes so I don't have to mash the A button just to get past the part I know about already.

Read a book.

I'm actually reading a book as I use my computer. Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy. The five in one novel thing. I read.
I just hate reading the story over and over when I die. Also, some of the story is a bit unnecessary.

Quick question: does gxscc convert midi music to 8-bit or 16-bit?

Define "8-bit". It converts it to a specific soundchip, but not the NES soundchip.imaginary cake wrote:Quick question: does gxscc convert midi music to 8-bit or 16-bit?
