Back in the day I used to get as many desktop addons as possible
Widgets, rocketdock, window blinds, anything to make it super flashy
But that got annoying and took up too much RAM so now mine is just pretty average

The only thing I keep on my desktop are folders for videos that I need to finish (It's how I make my money yeeaaahhhh), and the programs I need to use for editing videos/images/sound design and whatever

The only exception is Love because I'm too lazy to put it somewhere else

I'm amazed this thread is still alive! Since my first post, I've given up on using Linux. It's cool, but impractical. I also recently customized my Windows setup a bit. It's pretty awesome.
