Mari0 SE Application Icon

How do I play the beta Mari0 SE game without an application icon to click? I'm not any LOVE genius.

We don't exactly support SE, but it's a generic enough question.

Option 1: Install* Löve. Then you can just open the .love file and the game will start.
Option 2: Extract Löve somewhere, then drag the gamename.love file into love.exe executable.
Option 3: Create a shortcut with the following path (Everything in square brackets): ["C:\Path-to-Löve-executable-folder\love.exe" "c:\path-to-game-folder\game.love"] Haven't tested it but it should work.


*This may cause a mess if you will run games from other versions of Löve like that.

You can find it in the Mari0 subforum. You have maybe 5 threads to check the first few posts.

Ok, i'll try to help you:
Just click one of the links it appears in the thread Sašo linked.

Whichever works.

Then after you downloaded it, it would look like this:

Then if you have LÖVE installed you'll just need to double-click it to play the game, i hope that was useful.

Thanks, Hans. I just downloaded LÖVE. I redownloaded the game after that, and it just appeared as a .zip file. I extracted it. I could not find the icon you talked about. Am I supposed to copy the needed files in the LÖVE file into the Mari0 SE file?

Oh, i never considered that...
Well, that .zip file IS the .love file, just rename it or use "Open with..." and select LÖVE.
