2. Does this error come up with any other SYS games, like Ortho Robot?
From what I remember about Win32 errors, that means the file is completely missing, it's missing some parameters, or it's data is completely gone.
Though, I may be wrong.

Are you running any antiviruses or any sort of firewall? Löve has been in the past detected as a false positive and it's possible that cleaning attempts ruined the exe.
If you are, try disabling them and then downloading http://stabyourself.net/stuff/NT2-OR.7z (password is 1111). If either game runs then it's an antivirus/antimalware/active firewall something related problem.

I assume any other games work fine? Are you having simmilar issues with anything else?
