Nothing will start up

I recently just downloaded Love 0.8.0 and tried to run Mari01.6 . all that happens is that an error message pops up saying 'love.exe has stopped working'.
any help would be greatly appreciated

Does the game work standalone (the normal windows download)? Do you encounter problems with any other games?

same message when running the stand alone version.
and yes i tried ortho robot and not tetris 2 and got the same message

Sounds like a graphics issue, meaning there's not much to do. I'll see if I can find any more clues. In the mean time, try installing this and then run the source Mari0:

love has stoped working huh ? try to upgrade your graphics's drivers , install directx , and all that stuff even if love doesn't need Dx you'll still need it and try to defrag

right ill try a defrag, been a while since i did one of those, might do the trick :)

i'd say you format C:// and reinstall windows but it's a lot of work , try and run windows update and install them all

Any time someone says 'format C://' you know they don't really know what they're talking about anymore. That's the software equivalent of 'turn it off and on again' and is rarely the only solution. Often it does nothing and the person you're trying to 'help' has just wasted a whole load of time and effort. If I had to predict I'd say it will do nothing as Saso already said it was probably a graphics issue.
