Any of the games aren't running properly

All of the games I downloaded run like they're being a huge burden to the CPU, but they're not. They just run really sluggishly (like, a frame every 2 seconds, and no fram skipping) but their CPU load is pretty small. I'm probably missing some software, but I habe no idea what it could be...

what ? please describe your installation (soft + hard ware). Also by games, you mean stabyourself games ?

Yes, I'm talking about Ortho and Not Tetris 2.

I've got a Intel 2.4GHz Quadcore CPU, 4 gigs of DDR2 ram and this. The graphics card is crap but the CPU is pretty good, and should be able to run those games.

As for software, I got the latest drivers for the components, and I just extracted the game files onto a folder and tried to play, but they're pretty much unplayeble because they run so slow.

Done that, I don't have anything but avast and firefox running while I try to play, and I tried without firefox too...

Close avast, it may be running a scan.

also are you running the autoexecutables ? I always suggest trying to play the .love files with LÖVE.

Didn't know I needed to have Löve installed, lol.

You don't, you only need it to run the .love files.

That's strange... after installing Löve the games run just fine, but before that they were really sluggish.
