Can't play PS3 controller on Mari0

Hey guys, quick question. I understand that you can play Mari0 through a PS3 controller, but I don't know how to setup the game to actually allow me to do it. I have the controller connected to Windows already, I just need to change the settings in the game to make it work for the controller. Help?

Does the controller work correctly in the game controller dialog in the control panel?

Go on options > Controls, set player 1 to no mouse and then change the remap the keys.
