Not sure if it counts, but it is pixel art. In Minecraft.

The big phoenix was made by Idiot9.0 for my game, and took an hour to an hour and a half to build.

Thanks. I'll make more Mari0 sprites and stuff. But I'm not sure what else to do. I did do some Turtle: Puzzle pixel art too.

The only sprites I did not make were the helmet-less walking Megaman and I think the small turret. The rest I made on my own and some of them were based on ideas posted on the forums. (The clown car mech is one of those ones.)
Woah, I know this post was made awhile ago, but those two blade sprites somewhat resemble that crappy thread I made when I first joined :D

Well I gave myself a project to work on.

I decided to make Spiritia from Rosenkreuzstilette in 8-bit Megaman style. Sprite next to original Megaman for scale, and original game sprites of Spiritia can be found here for comparison. (Original sprites too large for posting here IMO)
Would like some critique on it if you guys would.

^ what?

anyway I can only find one nitpick and it's that the tie (not sure what it is) could be more visible maybe use some darker red or outline it with white or something.

The reason I made it in 8-bit Megaman style is because the game she's from is a Megaman-styled game. So I was just curious what she would look like if her game was an 8-bit styled game like Megaman's too.

Also, what's your point if it's overused? It is, but dang 8-bit Megaman is awesome so who cares.

I like it. Looks cool. Something bugging me is his feet aren't the same shape but he could just be standing in a stance that makes the one foot look that way so it's not a big deal. Can't wait to see some walk animations.

I finished more of my Spiritia sprites:

Image

I got the walking, jump, and shoot frames done. Only need the ladder climb, run/jump+shoot sprites, getting hit, and sliding sprites.
I also took Renhoek's advice and tried to make the tie more visible.

As a gif, it's pretty nice. But the thing that irks me is the blink frames. They're not the original Megaman blink sprite, just a simple edit to make it look like he's blinking.
You don't have to, but I would suggest remaking it using the original blink sprite for the frames to keep consistency. You can find the sprite on this sprite sheet, at the very top of it. I just think it would look all around nicer.

But again, it's a nice gif as is.

You don't need to make frames for each direction. All you need to do is swap the picture direction, which you can do with MS Paint or some other image edting program.
If you know how to do that, and your just posting each direction for the heck of it, it's pretty much useless. :P
But otherwise, it looks like a really great sprite! :D

You actually don't need sprites for both directions full stop. You can flip the sprites in the code, no need for any extra sprites you don't need.

@Matu, Your sprite would be way better if his shape was symmetric .
Also, you don't seem to have a well-defined light source, and I don't know what are these red pixels supposed to be.

1-A headcrab is not simmetric
2-They don't have one because it wouldn't have sense cause it moves so it changes everytime
3-They're blood.

It was a failed test and now i'm going to make a better one (hopefully)

I might as well post some pixel art I've done recently.

Image Something I did way too fast yet don't feel like finishing yet.

@Lok :I doubt you made that, considering you never did any sprite in that style. Did you follow a tutorial?
Edit:well, it seem to be legit.
Also, please put links when posting giants images.

Btw :
Image
There is : - 2 never submitted attempts for the spriting challenge.
- A slime (not even pixel art. But it look good)
- The icon for my mappack.
- Leafs.
- Graphics for a strategy game (With two fonts, one being in white, and a color palette).
- Rock and Pipes.
I'm proud of the color palette (The one at the bottom).
