To be honest, I think it would be a lot better if Scott Cawthon himself would make the movie, alone. He knows the storyline, and he's good at explaining it. And he did make a movie before, and it was pretty good.

ARE YOU KIDDING?! We had to watch that movie in bible class last year! I had no idea it was made by Scott Cawthon! But now I can see the resemblance between Christian and BB. :P

I dunno what I want from the movie to be honest, I hope it's alright. I mean, if it's less of a monstrosity than the DOOM movie was, we should be in the clear. I think Scott's having quite a bit of creative control in it, so cautiously optimistic I guess.

Ugh, I posted a full analysis of this... on my facebook wall. I wont copy-paste it since it's several pages long, but all we can extrapolate is Withered Freddy did the bite. We know he was refurbished into the round headed design, FNAF 1, which is this one, and the 878787878787 probably signifies that he was the biter. It's set between FNAF 1 and 3, since it's after FNAF 1 (redesigned Freddy is withered) but pre-FNAF 3 (he's not burned in any way).

The last night in the game will be impossible for story purposes, but the last night won't be night 5... and we'll have to wait for the next game.

Night 5 will be paid, Day One DLC obviously. Sc00t'll get a brand deal with EA. But it won't end at N5, as you said- There'll be Nights 1-4 then 6-8 available in the main game for £9.99, and then Night 5 will be an extra £3

Here goes!

In the year XXXX, there was a restaurant called Fredbear's Family Diner. All was great, it used a cast of friendly cute animatronics who danced and sung.  A kid was murdered outside the diner, however, by a mysterious 'purple guy' (we've only seen him in Atari 2600 graphics and he's purple) . The place was still popular though, and they opened as Freddy Fazbear's Pizza in 1987 using all new characters, and the old ones were left to rot. This is when FNAF 2 happens. You play the guard, evil animatronics try and kill you, etcetera. At this point, there was the 'bite of '87', where someone got their frontal lobe bitten out by an animatronic (don't know which). The restaurant closed, and that was that. Until a few years later, it reopens! FNAF 1 takes place HERE, with the newly refurbished older models trying to kill you-  there was another murder by the same guy, this time killing four kids. The souls of these kids haunted the animatronics, and try to kill you for mysterious reasons.  You survive this, and due to massive money loss (presumably due to the murder) the place closes down, for good this time . And then, at an unspecified time, the purple guy is killed horribly in an animatronic costume , one of the ones from the original Fredbear's diner. 30 years later, 'Fazbear's Fright- the Horror Attraction' is built, with this animatronic in it as the main attraction, and tries to kill you, the night guard making sure the place is intact before it opens.  Before the place can open though, there's a fire and Springtrap (the suit with murderer in it) is killed for good, we think, and all the other parts and pieces are either destroyed or sold at auction. We don't know WHICH parts though, presumably Freddy survived and that's what 4 will be about. 

That's basically it, anyway. I may have missed some finer points, but there's the general gist. Let me know if it made no sense whatsoever.

Yeah, I've heard rumours from people who actually have met him that he's interested in exploring other aspects and different kinds of horror.

It's essentially sitting around and enduring jumpscares, but it's about the tension that gets built up as you anticipate them. Also, one of the biggest people play these games is to find out about the solid and complex backstory behind them. At least the fourth game will be the last on. As much as I love this series, I think it'll be best to put it to a rest.

I like the fact it brought me to a different gameplay style. I know there are other games where you operate CCTV like Nighttrap but the feeling of claustrophobia and powerlessness that the horror genre often tries to produce is captured so perfectly in this game.
I never got scared at Slender or the last generation of horror in general because simply being able to run in the opposite direction and they'll leave you alone isn't scary.
Besides because of the length of that type, there was hardly a risk. You'd play for like 10 minutes, run around click 8 things and win. With FNAF you invested more time by the later levels so you cared more about losing.
It's a well made game that due to it's prerendering is available on all devices at good high quality.
I haven't bought the sequels though. So I can perhaps understand if your point is that they came out too fast to vastly improve.

Definitely, the sequels were a little hurried. They were GREAT for plot though, which is the only real reason why people look forward to them anymore. The scares are 'meh', but the plot is exciting as all hell.
