All of the user awards are either the same or close to being so, except Kyle Prior as most likeable.

Of the 8, only 2 are the same (best artist and funniest).
Of the remaining 6, in 4 of them (this is half for those of you on the slow bus), the previous winner didn't even rank in this year's results.
Wouldn't call that "the same or close" really.

Okay, I looked over them again, and you're right.
But still. Half of the people were the same or almost the same. That's still not good. If you added some more categories for the new users (like I suggested) than we could've gotten some better results. We all know Saso was most funny and I don't need that information twice. There's no point of an awards ceremony if half the previous winners are there to shout "I got second!" and just be pointless entirely.

I'm not going to add categories for the sake of adding categories because then we'd have dumb ones like "MOST LIKELY TO BE WEARING A HAT" and "PERSON WHO RECEIVED THE MOST VOTES IN THIS CATEGORY" and no-one wants that.

So make smart ones. You're smart and you know this because that's what the votes say. If you don't want to have one that's "MOST LIKELY TO BE WEARING A HAT" then don't make that.
And it's not really about new categories, it's about others never getting voted because of the popularity contest involved that causes lack of votes for them. So basically a category where you can't vote for the older members and only for the new users so they can actually get a shot at winning some of the "clearly he's going to win this one a third time" categories.

I'm not upset about this, and I don't feel 'left out' because I didn't win.
Having more categories can be nice, but we really don't need to play the everyone's a winner. Then any people who do get left out feel even worse off.

There's a subforum full of mods, as is there with games. There's just one topic with art. Artistic people will win the "best map" category anyway.

Mine was a joke, which shouldn't be taken literally. I am not a mean person if you get to know me. I am not sure if yours was a joke, it seemed like an insult. I'm sorry if i misunderstood you. All I'm doing is suggesting something that would keep this thread looking nice. If you digress and want to keep it oddly out of order, do so. i don't know you that well, but you didn't need to start insulting.
