Aight buddy, listen. First off, you gotta work on that anatomy. Dude's got a broken finger on that joystick, feet be like "damn where am I going"? Also, work on your perspective. Arms cannot be sideways all the time, give them some depth. Feet can also face forward, ya know? Also, make those faces a bit more expressive. Flat eyebrows, tiny round eyes and line-based mouth can only get you so far. But don't worry, keep practicing, I believe you can do better! Who knows, maybe in three years or so you'll be doing something a bit more like this:HugoBDesigner wrote: ↑07 Feb 2016, 12:20Trying to escape a little bit from my "pseudo-realistic" style and trying to find something easier and prettier. Any criticism is welcome, since this is just a first sketch...
EDIT: Some moar

so I guess you're criticizing yourself?
For the "Draw a game based on a random name generator" contest on MFGG seen here: https://forums.mfgg.net/showthread.php?tid=2174
It's a rough MS Paint character sketch, made before I start working on the finished product (a gameplay screenshot
Hope Bromaster Joins, He'd probably be good at this.
-From left to right-
Chopskick samurai: Have lightning powers and chopstick num-chuks,
Knight knight: Masters of killing, weild duel blades,
Fork knights: This is king of the water-based fork clan, like the spoon knights they aren't war mongering and mostly fear the sporks potential to destroy their clan
Spork knight: the playable clan in Castle of the Spork Knights, originated from rebelling members of the Fork and Spoon knights merging, leading to their war with the spoon knights and fork knights,
Spoon knights: wield spoons and live in a bowl based fortress. The friendliest clan, and the first you will go to war with.
Spachula knight: Enslaving one as a chef is risky, but boy does it pay off, they are great cooks, and units will use this to heal at any opportunity they can. Carry sachulas that act they fight with as if it was a fly squatter.
Whisk knights: Can blow away foes with their whisks. Not much here yet

Haven't drawn this guy since 2016 :O
Throwback and a half damb
Might as well post this here too.
His name is Eldoon, Lord of Pasta, though known to many only as "The Spaghetti God". I drew this as part of an art challenge by Nick Wozniak, with the prompt of "Food Gijinka". I never actually finished it though, so there's still some parts that are rough.

On a more serious note, thanks to everyone who supported me and my creations throughout these years. Every single bit of criticism, feedback and encouragement helped immensely. I'm obviously not done, though! I do plan on continually improving my craft, indefinitely. I just figured it'd be nice to turn on my time machine and evaluate my progress :D
