I'd sugguest that you actually use my group picture thread for your picture now, as its meant to encompass any and all group pictures and prevent from clogging this thread as well as prevent other group picture threads from being made.FuriousHedgehog wrote:You want to be in the drawing, no?

How'd I do with natural stance posing? Is that what you call it?
Also, I found this while cleaning...

Chica-persona looks pretty nice, although the feet are a bit contortionist, I understand the idea of depth, although it may just be me. I don't often see that pose irl. Heh.

Yeah, I made an OC and stuff. It's my first try at something like this so the shading isn't perfect. Yes it's Earthbound inspired.

Sounds like Adventure Island x Mother. Interesting combination! The drawing is pretty nice, too.

I have no idea what I was going for here. Dancing maybe?
What do you think I should do with it?

I don't know why but I really love the hill with the dancing mushroom in the re-redraw.

Doesn't seem at all to be the Colors 3D! canvas size, since there are only 3 preset ones (you can't choose your own), and it's too squished vertically. Unless I'm just dumb.

Well shit. Clearly I don't know what I'm spending 30-40% of my time on at home...

Pff, clearly traced, and she's supposed to frown. You're doing it all wrong.
EDIT: Oh yea, made a new avatar-ish thing on colors!, but it really isn't worthy of the thread, it'll actually make an appearance once I get a high-res done on the computer, with some editing and sexy computer-capable-not-by-3ds-stuff as well ;P

Eh, I'm not too keen on 3d and 2d meshing unless it's breaking the 4th wall, but looks good for what it is.

2D and 3D art almost never mix, even when using a filter.
I'd sugguest not experimenting with it further. (Not to be harsh nor say that the components of the piece look bad, but 2D and 3D just don't mix well.)

I don't know what the weird stuff on the sides are supposed to be but the person themselves are fantastically drawn, I really like your art style, and I would love to see more of that (This was directed @constantchugga, I refuse to comment on Wilo's primitive monstrosity he deems art)

Turret, you're a dick, but you already know that, right?
As for the 3D-2D thing, I think it can work okay. In fact, remember how *I* used to merge 2D and 3D in my drawings? Here's an example:

Why not try drawing over this to make it all 3D? If it was all the same style, I think it'd look great. But as it is, it conflicts too much IMO.constachugga wrote:I tried combining my 3d and 2d stuff. Whaddya think?

I'm somewhat confused, do you mean model it and then draw over the render, or model a person?Vakema123 wrote:Why not try drawing over this to make it all 3D? If it was all the same style, I think it'd look great. But as it is, it conflicts too much IMO.

Nice drawing Mr. "I don't draw in other styles"Defiant Shout wrote:I made a new thing in a new style
this is an in-criticism about Defiant's "inability" to draw somewhat similar to the IOSMB4 style so he generally doesn't draw anything for it

Fine. But I still refuse to smb-ify myself. I no leik it. Too cartoony for my taste. I like realism or semi-realism :|

I can never resist a good maze. Neither could I with this one, had to sit through it before I could even post.
It was pretty easy to be honest, but I really like the design of it.
Anyways, here's what I wanted to post before I got distracted...

Create base colors with 100% opacity brush, then apply shading with 75% opacity brush then colorpick whatever shade you need inbetween. That's about it. It takes time, patience and a good eye. There are some different techniques for small stuff but I usually experiment until I find something I like.constachugga wrote:Jesus Jorichi, how do you colour like that?

I feel like I have the capability to shade at Joruichi's level, but none of the patience. Or attention span, if they're different by much.
Just need[ed] to draw an attacker now.
