Making 0 game Pictures/Avatars

I got a request for whoever feels like it:
I need a profile picture for my DeviantArt page I'm setting up to 'officially' start my project.
I'd like an 80's styled TV where the screen is exploding. Or something else that takes the term 'Breaking the fourth wall' a bit more literally. I don't know what the limitations of those profile images are in DeviantArt, so I guess it can be bigger than 100x100. But I really like the pixel art most of you guys can make.

So, anyone up for this?

Not finished, but here is what it is so far:

Shall I continue? (I am pretty experienced with photoshop.)
I will make it smaller and that. I know the request was pixel art but I thought this would be fine.

2nd attempt at an animation and I got this:

I think I broke it.

(I need to make the shards fly out more aggressively to make it look like it exploded. But for a one day project, I think I did quite well. And I learned a lot and had fun while doing it, that's what this was mostly for).

(fine with both, I was gonna use the tv somewhere else anyway)

I didn't think I was able to pull this off so soon, so I think I will stick with 3d, as it fits the project more...
(I just need to fix the shards and the .gif size and loop).

It turns out that DeviantArt doesn't take 'moving images' for profile pictures...
