Maybe his timezone is different.
Well, Mari0 went gold 19:45 CET on March 3rd. That left 3 hours and 15 minutes until released. So, I think we should go by CET when we're talking about this. It would make more sense. Mari0 was released at the same time for everyone, no matter the timezone, so the birthday is the same, no matter the person.
Edit: Hans, Mari0 was released MARCH 3rd.

I know but i watched this video before and i wanted to show you.popcan12 wrote:Hans, Mari0 was released MARCH 3rd.
Starting the thread early seemed like a good choice...popcan12 wrote:Mari0 was released March 3rd, not March 2nd. We're one day away from it's aging process. So basically you're saying "Happy early birthday Mari0!".

What timezone is CET? (Why can't people ever specify using GMT/UTC format?)popcan12 wrote:Well, Mari0 went gold 19:45 CET on March 3rd. That left 3 hours and 15 minutes until released. CET is Central European Time, it's GMT+1(+2 during summer time), and it's used as standard time from most of the European people cuz most of the European cuntries use it. Mari0 is a German game, so i guess CET time is the right time to use.Franpa wrote: What timezone is CET? (Why can't people ever specify using GMT/UTC format?)
Thank you, Monster hunter used a 3 letter abbreviation for there timezone when specifying maintenance periods and when I looked up what that 3 letter abbreviation stood for (No, don't expect me to memorize every 3 letter combination and what timezone they stand for) I found multiple countries in different timezones using that abbreviation so i was still clueless about it other then that it happens on Tuesday.TheSeek wrote:CET is Central European Time, it's GMT+1(+2 during summer time), and it's used as standard time from most of the European people cuz most of the European cuntries use it. It's just so much easier to work out the time when you have the actual time zone, and not some shitty layer of obfuscation.
It's been 2 whole years! And still not a single update!
Also dangit how did I forget this...

I do think that it's a really cool thing that there's people that enjoy the games I write enough to still be active around it 2 years later.WillWare wrote:Us: "Today is the anniversary of a great game! Let us celebrate with cake and mushrooms in honor of the great Maurice!"

And this forum has really cool members.
So uh. Thanks guys?
Maybe I'll stream tomorrow or something.
Of course! Thank YOU, for making these incredibly awesome games. I don't see how stuff this good couldn't get noticed and have people still playing them :DMaurice wrote:So uh. Thanks guys?
It's time to watch that Mario singing video Hans posted again...
Anyways, anyone know when stabyourself.net first showed up? This reminiscing reminds me that I never thought about how long it might have been around before Ortho Robot came out which was around when I got hooked.
Sometime in May 2011.
Before that, I had a shitty google site for Not Tetris (1).
Ortho Robot was released in November 2011.
Edit: Apparently that site still exists: https://sites.google.com/site/nottetris/home
Look at that awesome background image. I probably spent on hour on that.

Happy Second Birthday Mari0! Sorry I wasn't here to celebrate the first one.
Horray!
Warning, some crazy stuff is going on down there, you've been warned
I found Mari0 somewhere around the time that stabyourself.net anounced they were going to go to gamescom (the first time)
but it still feels like I've been modding playing Mari0 since forever.
If Mari0 was never made I wouldn't have ever learned how to code!
So thank you Maurice (and saso for whatever line he changed in the code) for making mari0.

Happy birthday, Mari0! I've been playing this game for longer than a year, and it's from far one of the best games I've ever played!
It's so simple, although so interactive and customizable!

I still remember back when Mari0 first came out; I played it a lot during 2012; then stuff happened with having to upgrade LÖVE and Special Edition's cancelation.
I remember all these different mapacks that I downloaded and played, and I'll never forget working on A0zora and making all the accompanying modded graphics. It's also the game that pushed my desire to sprite rip more frequently on The Spriters' Resource and learn more about the graphical limitations of the NES.
