I am working on updating the RPG mod.
Here's what I've done so far:

I should be working on this 'till I get to at least version one.

That's not a bug. It's a feature. It is in the old version, too. It is because you can level up jump, so it starts small.

When jump equals 8, so you have to get to level 3 at least.
I will probably make all stats a little lower (including health, attack, and defense). Then I will give more skill-points.

The game crashed for me, when i touched Piranha Plant when i had starman. You should make Piranha Plants mortal, i think that's the source of problem.

The game never crashed for me. I will soon release an update with health piranhas.
I'm not to sure about continuing this project too long.
No one seems interested in it at all...
I plan to make my own game (RPG) when I get the time, so I have other stuff to work on if nobody cares about this.

This is a really good mod. You should have it that when you level up the star powerup lasts longer.

Can you make it so the pause screen changes size with the scale? What I mean is that I play with a scale of 1 on the graphic's settings since my computer is slow. The pause screen is all messed up when played with a scale of 1.

Probably that "needing a mod to play an ok map" thing could be a reason, which would mean the person would have to make a pretty awesome map. And it would stink to work super hard and not get any feedback, and tonnes of great maps here go without feedback anyways, which makes me a bit sad come to think about it.

there are many reasons i don't get on too much that is one. trying to make a better map than my old winds of adventure map for this.

I really like playing around with this mod, I would make a mappack for it, but one thing I think should be put in if possible; screen lock until a certain enemy is defeated. I say this because, what's stopping people from just playing the mappack normally and passing everything to get to the goal?

I still don't know if I'll update it, but the idea is to make it with the multiplayer feature that will come out only with SE.

also, i have a question, the numbers that appear above enemies when attacked, is it the damage they receive, or just the points you get?
and i love how score is used as exp!

the menu and my stats are squished together. EDIT: i would show you but i don't know how to take a screenshot. Another edit: oh i found out it only works with scale on 2, but on 3 and 4 its squished together, fix dat please.
