I just made a really cool signature for my Debianization of Mari0, but it's not appearing under my post.

What it's supposed to look like:

What it actually looks like:
I had a suspicion that the image was causing it to be automatically disabled, so I tried just a plain-text signature.

What I wanted:
What I got:
I checked my display settings, and signatures were set to be displayed, so what's going on? Is it a new user restriction?

Signatures have been disabled because they add very little and clog up the page.

Darn it. Is there any other way to publicize things on this forum? There's no "About Me" profile field...

Bob, that's not something that you should encourage.
James, post a topic about it in Twatter. If you've already done that, then you've done all you can do.

I'm not encouraging it, I am just showing it is possible.

Signatures will not be enabled. They are displayed in your profile if you really want some custom text and images in there.

For customization you have your username and avatar.

Manually signing your posts with your name (especially links (especially images)) will get you banned.

i don't care if this is old, it's still a thing on these forums, so:

okay what the fuck. First off, signatures aren't ever usually that lag inducing. At best it'll just increase your load time of the page by about half a second. For sigs to lag you, you must have a really shitty computer. ALSO, there's a scroll bar on that shit! Second off, THERE'S AN OPTION TO FUCKING TURN THE SIGS OFF. The user could easily go to his settings, turn them off, there, done. Forcing that on everyone is a dick move.

Signatures are a waste of visual space. Rarely are they used for anything useful.

Why you joined to bump a 2 year old thread just to complain is beyond me. Regardless. I don't want to hear about forum signatures again. This is not negotiable.
