I'm not sure what same height, more pixels means, but no, they are different height.

What I did to recreate the levels is get a level map off the Internet and set it as the background of the level, then you just put the tiles overtop the right spots

WOAH, I NEVER THOUGHT OF THAT!

I have a little incentive, if could go back and fix all the height mistakes in my maps, I can put you in the credits :3

Where's the map and mod downloads?
May I suggest that you put the most recent versions on the first post?

because there's only graphical changes in the mod so far.

EDIT: I just went through the maps so far, there shouldn't be any checkpoints as the original smb3 didn't have any, but if you do keep them then at least move that checkpoint inide of the pipes section in 2-2 because you can't break the bricks because you'd be small.

If they're were no checkpoints, the newbs would complain, but if I do, then those hardcore fans would complain...
I'll just make a no-checkpoint and checkpoint version

Also, I can not work on SMB3 during the weekdays, so the next update will be next Saturday
Stay tuned till then!

EDIT:

@WillWare: My Mari0 is crashing when I added your files in :(

the reason why the newbs complained about there being no checkpoints in 8-1,8-2,8-3,and 8-4 was because in all the previous worlds you got a checkpoint and it didn't feel consistant, and with out doing any research bitched about it,

trust me they won't complain. (and 5 checkpoints per level is overpowered.)

If we can get the level select working well, no one will complain.

I also have the original SMB3, but that doesn't really matter because of emulators

I've seen a few people call it Tanooki, but aren't the Racoon and Tanooki suits different?

For the logic, Racoon Mario is just Mario with the ears and tail. Tanooki Mario is the full suit. I'm guessing the leaf in 3DL was the Tanooki Leaf.

yes they're different and also have different effects: Racoon Mario can fly and hit enemies with his tail, Tanooki Mario has the same abilities plus being able to turn into a statue for a few seconds to avoid/defeat enmies.
xXxrenhoekxXx wrote: whoa I guess smb3d land had a bigger impact than I thought O_O
why smb 3dl? both Racoon Mario and Tanooki Mario were in smb3 on the nes.

in smb3d land when you collected the leaf instead of getting the tail and ears you got the tanooki suit,

see how it could confuse someone?

i actually didnt think about what item gives what power, you're right...
so if i remember well, since i never actually played it, in smb3d land if you take the super leaf you become Tanooki Mario but with smb3 Racoon Mario abilities, and if you take the statue leaf you become Tanooki mario with the full smb3 Tanooki Mario abilities.
