well we could go to mfgg (mario fan games galaxy it's a website devoted to mario fan projects) forum, and there's sage (sega amature games expo like mfgg but only open once a year) it's a sonic website but I once saw a mario project a couple years back but it's up to maurice to publisise the game...

We most likely won't be actively publicising the game. Word of mouth worked fine when awareness started rising (Razer facebook post back in august) and it should work fine for the release. Perhaps it won't work with other games, but it will work with Mari0. It might be a bit slower but a week of spikes is better than a single day where spike ends up taking down the server. Speaking of which, I still have to switch to nginx.

Perhaps I'll send an email to those who have received test copies in the past or interviewed us as a small reminder and obviously mailing list/blog/twitter/facebook posts. But we'll rely on fans (i.e. you guys) to tell friends about it, and they'll tell theirs, etc. Not saying that you must, but you likely will, as many others already do.

One of my videos got some coverage, unfortunately it was the one about that one feature everyone thinks is great but isn't gonna be in the final game because that would be retarded (speed control). But 4000 views isn't really a lot compared to the other Mari0 videos : /

speed control might actually be necessary tpo create harder levels. like having fast reflexes on a normal speed game but reversed. having normal reflexes on a slow speed game. you could use it to get past tricky areas filled with enemies. if yo can't get through it at the normal speed you might be able to get through it at the slow speed. if you can get through it at the slow speed, then it is possible at the normal speed, you would just need to try a couple of times. also, spwwd control would help me out greatly because my reflexes aren't the greatest.

if it really is necessary with some levels we can always take out the beta to add in speed ctrl. (blabla open source is awesome etc.)
