I felt like saying this because I heard about someone suing the people who made mass effect cuz da ending wasen't sunshine and lollipops. It's one thing to hate a game's ending but this has just gotten to far.
Anyone else miss it when no one gave a f**k about the game's storyline and charater looks such as their eye colo(u)r. *cough* ...sonic fanboys

Today's videogames are relative to movies, if they have a storyline. Videogames have totally changed (for 100% in my opinion). So I wouldn't really compare them to 8-bit cartridges which just didn't have technology to add a decent storyline. They used the textbooks in the boxes to tell you the story, but who would read a game manual for a console with 4 freaking buttons, right?xXxrenhoekxXx wrote:... Today's games try to tell a story and if they do so, they have to do it properly. You either focus on your game and don't give crap about a story. OR you just make a decent game with an epic story. I haven't played Mass Effect and I never will, but all I can say is that if you decided to add a storyline, then do it properly.
But it's also a matter of taste: You can like the game and dislike the story. The writers just simply can't please EVERYONE. And that's one of thousands of reasons the people who are suing Mass Effect won't ever be able to win this.
If I judge a game, I judge the storyline and gameplay separately.
Might I add a question; How do you guys feel about game-music?

it really depends on how the story's pitched, I just got dumbfounded when I heard a company was being sued over an ending.

anyway I think music is really important for a video game.

I didn't like how it turned out so I made a k1rby (portal with kirby) avatar
and trosh said he liked it so I just stayed with kirby.
