Oh hey, Maurice, how's your bachelor game going? I tried the beta and it was really fun!
Just a small suggestion, if I may: could you please make the game not close when I get fired? Maybe make it go to a menu or just show a "You're fired" screen then return, I don't know. It's just a suggestion, of course...

Can you post your brutally honest opinion about me? I am a horrible person. Help me not be by posting this.

Okay then. Disregard second paragraph.

I went away for 3-4 days, and all this happens.

how do you make money to keep the site running then? Just paying money from a regular job? I assumed that ads were being blocked by AdBlock+.Maurice wrote:as if we'd ever have ads.

Like I've been saying for the past couple of posts, I'm going to be leaving for a month.
Well, I may be able to say something every once in awhile, but I'll be much less present in the meantime.

However, the actual money spent for Stabyourself.net (especially considering Gamescom) is higher than the amount of donations. Basically, we also have to invest our own money to keep everything running as smoothly as we want.

Since I came back, I made some more complex lightning in Doom.
Sorry if it's hard to see. It's hard to show it because you can't look up or down in Doom.

Yes. But I guess even if we had ads, it wouldn't matter for you since you have them blocked. If we were actually trying to scrape by using ads, that post would make you sound like a bit of a dick.bubba_nate wrote:how do you make money to keep the site running then? At the moment the site running costs are approximately as follows (incl. tax since we're not a company):
- 12,90€ / month - VPS hosting
- 7,90€ / year - Domain
- 0,60€ / year - DNS hosting
--------------------------------
163,30€ / year
(not including the .org domain, total 8,50€/year and pingdom.com alerts, which are billed per site down/up alertm which is negigable/year.)
Especially since we've been exhibiting at 2 Gamescoms already (and third might turn out even more expensive, but it'll be worth it), the donation funds have dried up, though we mostly just rent free of charge or reuse bought hardware. You could go into excrutiating detail about travel or other costs regarding Gamescom, but honestly we do that as a hobby anyways.
Even though being at a fair for an entire day for 5 days straight isn't most people's idea of a vacation.
I might've made it sound worse than it is, but while Gamescom is fairly stressful, it's worth it. Especially the part when we park on the roof then take a cargo elevator directly into the hall where we exhibit.

Like I said yesterday, I'll be mostly offline for the following month.
I got lucky and managed to go online here for today, but otherwise there is no internet on a roadtrip.
The one thing I want while I'm gone is to keep the IOSMB4 topic active- I finally communicated with alesan again, and progress will be made on the engine again. (No guarantees...?)

Thank god someone else hates that. I mean Export As.. Like.
I get Photoshop probably had a system like that but gimp being their own program means they could JUST NOT make the same dumb choices.

You know what? I don't even care anymore. My emotions have raised to a dangerous level. To avoid suicide, I am leaving to cool off.
Oh god I'm stupid. I'm gonna go cry. Don't follow me.
Yeah, I just realized what happened. (:P
Disregard everything I said. Again.

Well at this point it just seems like you're just looking for attention. He just said you posted in twatter and you're already going to explode in anger.
Anyway I'm working on a program that converts stereoscopic 3d images into anytype of 3d image.
For example, the picture (Found it on google, not by me) in the screenshot of my program below is supposed to be viewed with 3d glasses.
BUT the program makes it so you can see it by crossing your eyes.
If the 3d seems inverted (People cross their eyes in different ways) you can flip the frames to fix it in the program.
It can also convert cross eye images to be used with 3d glasses.

Nice work, Alesan!
If I may, I want to make a little suggestion: make it in 2 modes, cross-eyes (a.k.a side-by-side) and red-cyan (merged, not side-by-side). It's a bit hard to see them on cross-eyes with those colors and with glasses when they're far from each other...

My friend and I recently went to go see Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.
Soon we found we were inspired to write a movie of our own called Rise of the Elevators.

This is the original image: http://imgur.com/O4WIxEV
You are supposed to use 3d glasses to see it
But the program can make it so you can see it without 3d glasses: http://imgur.com/sdQweOJ
I can't fix the colors the original image doesn't contain the normal colors.
Here are all the view modes: original image, cross eye, wiggle (alternates the frames), cross-eye to red-cyan, and red-cyan to cross-eye.
