All threads previously posted in this forum have been moved to the Mari0 discussion forum.
This is to make sure useful, notable, or important information can be stored where it's more visible for the long term.
You cannot make threads directly in this forum, you can only make them in subforums.
You can suggest threads to be moved in this topic. Ideally, there should be maybe a dozen threads in here, for either best-of-the-best content or for notable, useful and up to date tutorials.
Nominate useful or notable threads

You couldn't find important things, they were mixed in with ancient and useless threads.
I think the character repository should be added here

repositories are very useful! Maybe just Character and Enemy as those are the most used

If you mean from any subforum, maybe the Mapping/Modding Guide and Rating threads?
If you mean just stuff posted in Mari0 that are now in the Mari0 discussion sub, then Custom Characters Library, Enemy/Hat repositories, and the Mari0 Images Thread

Phew! Now I won't have any confusion because this post is here. :)
I'm still undecided whether to move everything that sort of fits the bill or just a subset.
The issue will arise if stuff in subforums has less visibility than threads in this forum, leading to more offtopic than necessary.
Ideally I'd like anything mod specific to have tags, but I imagine some stuff in those threads is at least somewhat intercompatible - so I'll see about that.

Wake up Saso, it's been almost a year and you haven't pinned a single thread
I think the ones Hugo suggested are very old and outdated in the current state of the game and community, but if absolutely nothing else please pin the AE thread
I mean the CE thread is still pinned in the mod subforum, and to my knowledge CE has no active users at all. Meanwhile the AE thread is the most used thread on the entire Mari0 forums, and the only version of the game that still has a userbase, but it's not emphasized at all
It's also worth noting that major projects in the game no longer fit cleanly into "maps" or "mods", due to the advent of custom content and AE's support of it in particular. Things like custom characters can now be just as advanced, but they don't get nearly the same attention and respect within the forum layout. For the same reason, modding the game is nearly dead, as you do not need to do so to add features anymore. The modding subforum is now mostly composed of misplaced mappacks and characters, and help requests for using AE.
