Clip inside glitch

So i was doing my first run of the mario mappack(which i edited to have infinite lives because im bad at mario) aaand this happened:
Yeah... and has nothing to do with the portal.
EDIT: welll... i thought it had nothing to do with the portal,

It has to do with the portal. The hammer bro. is trying to jump down, but can't, because blocks with portals on them have special collision.

Let me recap what happened. I was shooting a portal in the intent that he would jump in it and go in a portal behind me. I just started shooting a portal and then BOOM, he was stuck inside. my guess he started jumping but was interrupted by the freshly placed portal. He got out eventually though.
