Once I get a good image editing program (soon hopefully) I'll be posting all my custom made tile sets here.

This sounds like a sold-ish idea, i'd be glad to help. also will make my mission to port amiibo sprites into mario se characters.

I'll try finding enemy sprites that aren't already existant in the original smb1
EDIT: Found some SMM sprites of remade/ new enemies/poses in Smw form Here

Have you tried looking for a LÖVE2D based image editor?
I'm guessing there's atleast something out there that works on your macbook... right...?

I'm pretty sure Mari0Maker's Link is pretty close to the amiibo sprite.

Found alot of SMB1 SMM sprites. i also made a darker version of the bowser shroom. (that was how it was originally presented in the game)

No, they're from the SMB1 style actually, you must've gotten them confused.
