Mario SE Un-finished Online?

i found this file in Mario SE
i have no idea how to use it, but... OMG SE ONLINE?

That's just for the menu so it won't enable online play.
There is no point in trying using it.

yes se was originally going to have online functionality but it won't anymore as it was deemed too hard and was abandoned
it doesn't work and probably won't without some major work

Apparently QCode was working on a modded version of Mari0 1.6 that had unofficial online capabilities.
I'm pretty sure it is stable enough for regular use.
