I figured I should post this here since I'm not the one with the mod.

As little of you know, Hatninja is making a mod for Mari0 1.6 that allows TAS tools for super cool speedruns. AFAIK, it'll include a timer for timing your runs obviously, multiple savestate slots, and frame-advance. The main purpose of this was to make a TAS of the SMB map, but I was also considering doing some speedruns of community mappacks as well, including 0'Brothers.

What would you guys think of this? and what kind of mappacks would you guys want to see TASed?
(more info on TASes at tasvideos.org)

I think this is really cool. I've never made or attempted at making a TAS before, so this may be my first time trying when the mod gets released.
And I actually never did think about doing community maps, so that would be very interesting. :)

I agree that it would be really neat. I always enjoy a good TAS video, so if one was done for Mari0 that'd be pretty neat to see.
And the community mappack thing would be nice to see too.

+1 this idea whoever's making this mod get on it.

I was tempted to make a trig joke but I'll just say "+1" for an awesome idea that I really want to see happen.

I'm pretty much in the same boat. It'd be really neat to try, and I expect there would be a lot of mind-blowing runs - and perhaps some competitive stuff.

If there are speedrun mappack out there, watch out.
