no i didn't bring it up i told people to research to make sure it already hasn't been answered or that the question will make you look stupid.

b) Who is your opening statement to? Camewel never said you brought up anything.

I know that it's frustrating when people come for help without doing research into the matter first but they are new and that was far too aggressive. I'm not saying this because I don't think you have a reason to be annoyed. I'm saying this because if your response is yelling at a new member, who chances are, with this forum, is about ten. Just, don't post. I'm sure no response is better than a ton of swear words and a rant that doesn't really help all that much in the first place.

I'm not defending this because of it being a modification I made, but because some of you are acting really dumb about this. Why shove the actual Super Mario Bros. down his throat if there is something that exists that lets him do what exactly what he asked for? Why complain about it? WillWare answered the question in the first reply and was nice about it, nothing was needed past that

Just unplug your mouse, and shove the window half off your screen so you can only see 16 tiles. It'll seem almost exactly the same, but you'll still hold the portalgun.

With SE now you can configure it so you no longer have a Portal Gun in whatever level you choose, Still won't be 100% like the original and you will have to make a duplicate of the SMB1 mappack in your maps folder, but at least it's partway there.

And that HTML5 game. Oh my god. It's like I'm playing SMB1 with SMBS physics, and RESPAWNING ENEMIES. That "Full-Screen Mario" that was pulled off the web not too long ago was far more playable even if it too wasn't as faithful to SMB1 as Mari0 was, though at least it had a kickass level generator to make it worth your time.

Or better yet, BEST idea rather :P is to just NOT use the portal gun at all. SRSLY! You won't even need to TOUCH the mouse to play normally, unless you have OCD and your guy is facing the wrong way, somewhere along those lines. Think of it the portal gun as an added bonus, or as an aesthetic rather than a WHOLE new GAME (If you just want to play Mario.) Or you can just find a flash website. Xp
