i know a program for create a LAN connection, his name's Hamachi.
It is quite good for LAN games.

There's no difference in programming a game for TCP/IP (Internet) or LAN. The only real difference is ping, and Hamachi doesn't change that.

I think he thinks that hamachi adds LAN support to games, not that it turns existing LAN support in to WAN support.

No, hamachi makes a virtual private network so the computers appear to be in a LAN, but in the end it doesn't change how networking is done. Lag compensation still has to be done and that is arguably one of the hardest parts.

It's why I always try to refer to it as "network multiplayer". It's the same, except with WAN the connection has to go over a few more routers (and be port translated a once or twice but that's a different story).
