Lowering aim sensetivity
On my Logitech F310, when I aim with the right stick, it aims too fast. Is there a way to lower the sensitivity? Can you make it so that you aim with the trigger keys (not accepted unless it's buttons unfortunately, and even then it wouldn't work.) I just want gamepad aiming to be different.

I find it a little too sensitive with gamepad aiming as well when I play with a gamepad.

Hey Xero.
You're telling me what to do, therefore you're being demanding too.

You're being a condescending ass.
I think you may be trying to catch on to the asshole-attitude that commonly appears around here. Try again. Next time, try being an ass with good intent in mind.

I'd say welcome, but I fear you will become a spammer. But if you somehow stay active, don't spam, have a nice attitude, and don't complain. Welcome to the forums!

I think they want the sensitivity to be weighted so that sensitivity sharply increases when you push the analog stick to almost the maximum angle. When pushing the analog stick a small or moderate amount it would move the courser slower then it currently does.
Increasing the dead zone does nothing for sensitivity, that just makes it less responsive and compress the valid range of values increasing the sensitivity.

I think there's some kind of misunderstanding as to how aiming with a joystick works.
The gun points where you push the stick, there's no sensitivity involved.
Aiming with a stick is already hard enough at speed without having to wait for your aim to go where you want.

I think the solution here is primarily make the speed the cursor revolves around the player slower, in that let's say I have the joystick pointing to the right, then I press it up, and the cursor rotates itself upwards, slowly and then stoping right on the desired angle.
Ah okay, my bad then. Not sure if this is exactly what smoothing is but maybe make it ignore really minor movements of the analog stick? So that your aim doesn't twitch etc.Camewel wrote:I think there's some kind of misunderstanding as to how aiming with a joystick works.

I think he means more twitching as in he has twitchy thumbs.
Smoothing as an option that's enabled by default probably be the best plan here.
A bigger deadzone wouldn't be a bad idea though, it's not as if you use anything other than the extremes of the stick to aim anyway.
