:( 2 player cant shoot portals. only joy1axe5neg, joy1axe4neg, joy1but5 and joy1but6 lets 2 player shoot portals.

so joy1axe5neg is controller 1's axis number 5 towards -1.

You know you can change which keys those are binded to, right? Just highlight it in the controls menu and hit enter.

joy1 = gamepad #1 (its probably your xbox360 controller or other gamepad)

axe = one of the sticks or analog triggers

axe5 = right stick moving left and right
axe4 = right stick moving up and down

axe1 = left stick moving left and right
axe2 = left stick moving up and down

neg = left or up
pos = right or down
you have to move the stick to the right to select aimx and down to select aimy to avoid having your aim inverted

other gamepads are different. for example, on my gamepad:
axe3 = right stick moving left and right
axe4 = right stick moving up and down
