[Question] MarI0S
I highly doubt it. The controls would probably be awkward, and how would you get mappacks on it?

You kinda forgot the part where it's Nintendo's copyrighted music, concept, and art. Nintendo wouldn't like the game on the app store. The reason why Nintendo hasn't gotten up on the PC version of Mari0 is because it's free, open-source, and no advertisements are surrounding it.

Still illegal/not "official".WaryLouka wrote:Not for Android.Legend_of_Kirby wrote:Well This would be easily noticeable, Plus for pacman its illegally installed
On some phones, no.Android even allows officially the installation of non-Play Store/Android Market apps.
(Edit:But it's imposed by the manufacturer)
No, since you have to install 3rd party software.Google allows ROOT (Sortof Jailbreak for Android) apps on it's Play Store/Android Market.
Really, it's not different than jailbreak.
They would be awesome if it was rooted by default.
LOL. Give me the source of google search, then.(Also, they didn't gave the source of Android 3)Google is pure open source.
Sure, I trust you. Google is not evil.Google is better.
I'm not a apple fanboy at all, but I don't claim that google is awesome when it's evil.

The Mediacom SmartPad 706i(a low end tablet) is rooted by default, and also other tablets from the same brand and other sub-brands.Automatik wrote:No, since you have to install 3rd party software.Google allows ROOT (Sortof Jailbreak for Android) apps on it's Play Store/Android Market.

I dunno if this is the case, but sometimes the limitations are imposed by the manufacturer, not by Android, like the Smartpad 705i(or 707i, cant remember) which didnt have the option to install not verified source apps on it, and didnt have the google play app neither(like 90% of Mediacom tablets), but a simple hard reset(legal, and obviously suggested when needed in the instruction booklet) made both reappear as it resets the Android OS to the original state as if the manufacturer didnt touch it to block some features.Automatik wrote:On some phones, no.Android even allows officially the installation of non-Play Store/Android Market apps.
Yes, but why it's not the case on every phone?TheSeek wrote: The Mediacom SmartPad 706i(a low end tablet) is rooted by default, and also other tablets from the same brand and other sub-brands.
Yep.(But Imo, if they really want to allow us to install "unofficial" apps, then they should just allow it)TheSeek wrote: I dunno if this is the case, but sometimes the limitations are imposed by the manufacturer, not by Android, like the Smartpad 705i(or 707i, cant remember) which didnt have the option to install not verified source apps on it, and didnt have the google play app neither(like 90% of Mediacom tablets), but a simple hard reset(legal, and obviously suggested when needed in the instruction booklet) made both reappear as it resets the Android OS to the original state as if the manufacturer didnt touch it to block some features.
Dunno, i was just statig that if you can buy a rooted by default Android device, it means that Google/Android allows the rooting of their devices.Automatik wrote:Yes, but why it's not the case on every phone?TheSeek wrote: The Mediacom SmartPad 706i(a low end tablet) is rooted by default, and also other tablets from the same brand and other sub-brands.
What i tried to point out is that Android actually allows the users to install of "unoffical" apps, the manfacturers are the ones who don't, so it's not Android's/Google's fault.Automatik wrote:Yep.(But Imo, if they really want to allow us to install "unofficial" apps, then they should just allow it)TheSeek wrote: I dunno if this is the case, but sometimes the limitations are imposed by the manufacturer, not by Android, like the Smartpad 705i(or 707i, cant remember) which didnt have the option to install not verified source apps on it, and didnt have the google play app neither(like 90% of Mediacom tablets), but a simple hard reset(legal, and obviously suggested when needed in the instruction booklet) made both reappear as it resets the Android OS to the original state as if the manufacturer didnt touch it to block some features.
