Was Dorkly's video the true inspiration for the game?
Was it VERY difficult to just get the basic engine down, let alone even try slopes?
Did you actually have fun making this as time went by? Or did the fun gradually degrade as you continued?
Do you dislike the fact this game does very much appeal to a lot of immature people with no sense of imagination or regard for the rules?
Was this more of an experiment before an actual game?
Did you have prototypes not even related to SMB? Post below answered these
Did you consider a different game mash-up before this one?

At first it was just SMB with multiplayer, but then Maurice watched said video and added portal stuff.HAPPYFACES wrote:Was Dorkly's video the true inspiration for the game?

what can we ask without asking about features?
Why do you have to quote my post.

I think Turret made this thread more or less to be like this, not a Q&A for Maurice

because I'm talking to you. (way to avoid the question btw.)Turret Opera wrote:Here's mine,xXxrenhoekxXx wrote:here's my question,Turret Opera wrote:Ask any question that doesn't have to do with new features.

Yes.

I tried a different approach first which used tracers described in the sonics physics guide, but AABB proved to be simpler in the long run.

I only make these games for fun, so if a project stops being fun it doesn't get developed further. This is why SE is stalling.

Not really. I only started this because I wanted to see if I can program a platformer, and I went for SMB because it has an excellent feel.

Isn't that what the "CURRENT RELEASE" thread is for?TripleXero wrote:I think Turret made this thread more or less to be like this, not a Q&A for Maurice

And why not have a Q&A? As long as nobody directly asks something about SE, this thread could be pretty cool... If not repetitive in the end where we've exhausted everything we could ask.

Okay here's one:
*Where there plans to add in SMB2J, Special, and Deluxe features into Mari0 since earlier versions (pre 1.6)?
*Have you ever considered adding in additional tile colors and enemy palettes that were coded into the SMB ROM but went unused until 2J and the numerous level-only ROM hacks?
