original levels

Well i want to get those cheats unlocked so I was wondering if i edit the original mario levels to give me more lives, will i still unlock them at the end of it?

Just go into the menu and type the konami code to unlock it.

Hello, I realized you are having problem. i had the same problem too.
anyway, i have some seriously bad anger issues! then i saw in the cheat section of the option menu it said 'infinite lives' i wanted that badly, but sadly i suck at mario even with a portal gun. :( I saw that there was a map editor and so, decided to have fun with it. then i made a boss battle i tested the level with my spawn on the bridge I battled a bunch of goombas [AKA epic boss fail] than i got the axe and, well unlocked the cheats IDK if it's a bug or what but there my problems solved. :)
