Blogpost mega thread
Yes, I know that. I am a normally impatient guy, but I did wait for this. How long? I think 3 months.
The length of time between the release of 1.6 and the release of SE is getting ridiculous.
End of story. Period.

Not as rediculous as the wait between the current and previous version of Zelda Classic though, that took over 3 years.
Or the wait between the goomba shoe's smb3 appearence and it's first ever ever ever appearence elsewhere in sticker star EVER.

Yes, I still haven't finished them all yet! Also Maurice is wrong! I remember bad news!
T'was some bad news indeed.Jun 11 Blogpost wrote:Back in October 2011 I posted a FAQ about Mari0. Here is the updated one for SE.
Is there a release date yet?

Can you release a demo/beta?

Doing this game is a hobby for maurice i think.

Maurice's Hobby: Not releasing SE.
That is great news.

He's right you know. Mari0 was officially released in March 2012 (v1.0) and a few months later after bugfixes came 1.6.xXxrenhoekxXx wrote:it hasn't even been a year yet since it started development,Turret Opera wrote:No, it's not.
I would rather have buggy SE in it's current state instead of having to wait until the year 21893246163298756439857365846534875647830435706470356780633745367380957578043

*Using the same concepts as the Killer Rings from the ROM hacks Super Mushroom, Flower Remix, and STAR Remix*
*How automatic Portals are set up*
*forgetting SMB3 had decent spike graphics (unless there's both SMB3 and Portal variants)*

JSON is not fun...
Way too many restrictions.
I'm gonna' make a sandbox lua based modding system, that way the user has more freedoms.
I'll integrate my mod, then, into SE so it will have JSON (user friendly) and Lua (unlimited capabilities)

Didn't the seventh world of SMB3 have some levels that used spikes that looked similar to Sonic spikes?Mr.Q.Marx? wrote:Superjustinbros wrote: *forgetting SMB3 had decent spike graphics (unless there's both SMB3 and Portal variants)*
There's your SMB3 variant.
Also, I hope they're only able to damage you from pointed ends.

I still hope we'll be given the ability to make brick blocks hold only a single coin; considering how SMB Crossover has those.

I doubt it will display successful messages like that. you'd still likely have to access the console to read them as they aren't anywhere near as important as error messages.Qcode wrote:They do.
I saw that there was the message "Couldn't load background 1-1.txt!". Is this going to happen for all messages printed to the console? Because seeing "The custom tileset was loaded in 'time'!" Every time you load a level would get annoying.

Besides maurice posts a blogpost a month about all the new features. Now there's so many I don't even remember them all.
TOO MUCH WAITING. JUST RELEASE IT ALREADY.

I think they're like the replay after you beat a level in Super Meat Boy.

While the whole replay thing is quite good, I thought the gimmick of drawing a million Marios in each attempt's path would get a bit eye-grating.
remember those things maurice said won't be in the final game? (mega mario, minecraft, and rainboom?)Camewel wrote:will not be in the final game.

Yes, but they were optional, so even if the infinite marios are in it, you probably won't have to see them.

SJB wasn't exactly aware, judging by his post up there.
He's told us Hammers are enemies twice.
Oh, maybe I should update that page than.
