Does Mari0 have lawsuits against it?

Im a little concerned here, is there any link that shows that nintendo and valve allow Mari0 to use their content? Im afraid that nintendo can stop the Mari0 project whatsoever. does maurice and Saso have copyright signatures or are they jsut badass. Caus' i dont want this project to go down the drain.

It's a parody, they shouldn't get taken down for it. Plus, it's non-profit.

Nintendo and Valve are most likely aware of Mari0's existence. If they haven't shut it down yet, I doubt they'll shut it down anytime soon. The only reason they'd actually take legal action is if Maurice and Saso try making money off of it, which is never gonna happen. You don't need to worry.

(Well, SMBX never got shut down by nintendo. Redegit quit it himself so he could work on Terraria.)

The only reason Nintendo would sue Maurice is if they thought Mari0 was significantly hurting sales of VC copies of Super Mario Bros which would be silly as it hardly sells as it is.
Valve are more likely to hire Maurice than sue him.

The people who created narbacular drop (https://www.digipen.edu/fileadmin/websi ... cularDrop/) were hired to make portal, the people who made TAG: The power of paint (https://www.digipen.edu/?id=1170&proj=1506) Got hired to make portal 2 (Probably mostly the gels).
So yeah, VALVE might hire maurice.

Probably should have replied to this in a timely manner but didn't even notice.

They don't care. As far as law is concerned, it's probably considered a parody, but I don't know German law.

Not that we're actually profiting from it, so they have even less reason to care.

German law is more lenient for parodies than most places so you'd be rather safe if they were to start caring.
