Didn't someone mention that the sounds/graphics take up most of the file size? The coding itself is actually relatively small. I don't think there's going to be that many new audio/graphic files added in SE...

Don't forget that some things had to be modified (such as entities.png) to be optimized for SE. By this I mean that instead of 2-4 directions laid out, it's one default direction.

it's just a .png file it doesn't take that much space . and i'd rather 6 or 7mb's cuz i just remembers that Maurice added racoon mario
so i guess the sound files are pretty big and idk

He was just pointing out that the PNG won't change in size much (Maybe getting smaller?) because (This is an assumption on my part) the game engine will now flip the graphics without needing a separate image for both left and right facing graphics, only right facing animations/graphics are needed.
