I need some help on adding tiles to the Level Editor. I don't mean adding custom tiles to a single map-pack, I mean adding new tiles to the editor itself. Can I even do that without reprogramming something, because I know almost nothing about programming?

Do you mean like adding tiles so you can add them to any mappack and would be in the SMB or Portal section?

What'd be the difference between adding a tileset and adding it onto a level editor? And if you want to do that just get the source file and go (Graphics/portaltiles.png) or (Graphics/SMB/smbtiles.png) to add or edit tiles. You don't need to program. All you need is Photoshop or a similar software.

Don't even do it. It will mess up EVERYTHING, meaning the Portal Mappack will be all fudged up. So: don't do it.

You could add them at the end as later #s...

No, i tried doing this, adding to the smbtiles.png. It fucks up everything. The portal mappack (Depending on how many new tiles you add to smbtiles.png) will be fucked up and will be replaced by the new tiles. You could add it to the portal tiles, but then everything's a mess.

If you mean makking your own tileset , like this one :
Image
you need to :
1. edit the picture above with Paint.net . Photoshop or whatever program you wanna use
2. put your own custom tiles instead of the tiles above . using 16x16 pixels .
3.once you finish , name the picture tiles.png and place in the Mari0 folder ( %appdata%/Love/Mari0/Mappacks/*your mappack */ paste your file )
and that's it if you mean like modifiying the portal and SMB tiles that are in mari0 , watch this video but it's gonna take a while :

PS : Watch in fullscreen

well you're going to need to use custom tiles if you ever want to put it up on the internet,
besides why do you need a permenant tileset for the game? You can't possible be making multiple map packs using the 1 tileset.
