Mari0 has now gone gold. This game is coming out in 3 hours, Maurice is done. Can I just say thanks to Maurice for making this game, he's sunk so much time and so much effort into making this game for us, at no cost at all. I, and probably everyone else hugely appreciate the effort you put into not just this, but also your other projects, like the hilarious Not Tetris 2, and the innovative Ortho Robot. You are an amazing person, congratulations on getting it all done.
Also, thanks to Sašo. While he may not have spent all that time on Mari0, he has still been there, behind the scenes, helping people when they have a problem, working on things on the main website and on here. You two make an amazing team, I'm really looking forward to future stabyourself creations.

If anyone else has any nice messages regarding Maurice getting Mari0 done in time, or anything else mentioned above, this is the place to say them.

For me mari0 could get indie GOTY.
Stabyourself in my opinion will have a great future, Mari0 and the next project will be their way to it.

Thanks Maurice and Sašo!
I'm greatly impressed by the effort put into Mari0 and not to forget all the other games.
I see this game as the most accurate to Super Mario Bros. game I've ever seen (except for the crossover part ofcourse).
I'd nominate this as the best free, open source indie game ever!

You truly have skills in programming! And you have put it to good use! Keep it up!

I'll admit there's a lot of potential. If they build on these games and on our community and keep on having good ideas and making the best games ever, these two could really become something :)
Thank you for giving something to look forward to for the past 6 months ! (maybe I've been a bit less anxious for the last month though)

OK I guess I'll use this thread to thank Maurice and Saso for trusting their fans with the beta. I really loved the experience and I feel like I helped a little, and it was really cool to see the game improving.
I'm happy that it's finally going to be released, but to be honest I feel a little bit sad because I'm no longer going to be part of that small group. It's selfish but oh well.

Oh and there are going to be levels made by me in there, hope you like them :P

I tried to make a level but failed because I sux at level design, but maurice and raicuparta did make some pretty amazing levels in like 3 days (most of them today though lol). I have my own little contribution in the game in the shape of entity descriptions :P Anyway I was also glad to be part of the beta team (mostly us two lol), I like to think we were useful for the game. Anyway now everybody will have fun discovering this awesome piece of awesomeness, and hopefully make it better with their own mappacks.
But fuck you for having stopped me from any productivity for the past month :(

Good idea, portal levels are really puzzles revolving around one or several level placement ideas, so it's good to start thinking of the problems that could be posed right now.

I already posted this in the comments on stabyourself.net but It's hard to come up with stuff from the bottom of the heart twice.. so I'll just copy+paste here

Strange. Two hours before the release and yet I'm mostly calm. But that could change. I think. I'll probably be out of my mind in no time. though I haven't actually gotten a chance to play it as it is right now, I know that I'll be satisfied with the game. Think of all the stuff that's in this game.. you know, that stuff (too much to list). I'm likely to be entertained for hours, days... Years.. years is more likely. As sincerely as I can put it in mere text, I would like to thank you. This is awesome of you. Pretty much a year of work (in the public eye anyway) for a free game. Thank you.
There. From the bottom of the heart. Again.
And also for the other games too. I quite like Not Pacman, even though it's not finished.

After the game comes out will anyone post the link for the beta that the art contest winners got(and no I don't want the fake one)? Just because I like playing a buggy game(finding bugs are fun).
