Ok this may seem stupid, but I'm getting bored and though I've got much better things to do, I had much rather spend my precious time here. So I was wondering if anybody had questions about the gameplay, or such, of Mari0. Even though the game comes out soon and everything you've ever wondered in your life will be cleared up I think it might be good to clear things up beforehand. And I get to do something in the meanwhile :D
So if you've had a question (no question's too big, no question's too small as my history teacher used to say) about the gameplay, or the controls, or the editor, or the available tiles, or customisation, or anything except for cheats (hehe), please ask. For example you, in the back, yes you, i know you've been dying to ask about underwater levels, or lasers, or cubes, or something !
So go on, here is the place, now is the time : this could even get maurice to find some last minutes bug, or something useful like that. After the game is released, the forum might be crowded, or people might start insulting you for asking something that's been asked umpteen times. Now I am open to questions.

I think you have to click the block in the tileset and put it by clicking again. Easy as pie.

EDIT : Oh, sorry, I responded before you... Anyway, I have a question : Does the screen turn red as in portal when you get hit by a laser ?

nothing the wall will not break.

in editormode, you only see blueprints for entities, they are not active, you can't die (will respawn from the top), you can right click anywhere to go there, you can move the camera around with arrows, and to enable portals you have to go into tools -> portal gun (testing). this way it limits the level fucking about while you edit it.
also yes in the menu you have a tileset and an entityset, in which you can clic to select elements and then place them in the level.

btw for anyone wondering, "entities" are the objects, everything that moves or can be interacted with.

also there are sublevels, like 1-2_1, 1-2_2, 1-2_3, 1-2_4 you can use to divide your level, like smb levels (with pipes in overworld, main level in underworld, "hidden" underground coin places, etc.)
So you can fit in quite a few levels in each mappack ;)
