Hello Stabyourself Crew , this is my first topic
My idea is , would you maybe work with "Exploding Rabbit" ? ( I hope this is not a foreign advertising and that no one had this idea before me )
Mari0 is very cool , portals , minecraft , but it could have another mode like somebody posted "Y0shi" or "S0nic" ( but i hate sonic )
Exploding Rabbit has a game called "Super Mario Bros Crossover" i don`t work for them , but i like it very .
Would you work with other guys/groups ?

i don't think it'll happen , plus you have to speak for Exploding Rabbit , imagine they don't want to work with Stabyourself , then Maurice pops at their studio like "Surprise" !

Personally, the idea of mixing an original idea of "Mario + Portal" and another original idea of "Mario + Other Characters" really turns a game into a mess. If they worked on another project (although, as others mentioned, they use different coding language) that might be ok IMO.
You managed to get half wrong, good job. Maybe next time you should just quotetrosh wrote:saso said they have too much stuff to do, they wouldn't be using the same coding language and most of the work would be directed towards exploding rabbit, not stabyourself. correct me if i'm wrong.

I don't think we need a S0nic or Y0shi, you could just mod it
Why would Sonic be hard to make? Just increase Mario's max velocity and make it so he can kill everything by jumping into them, rather then only by landing from above.xXxrenhoekxXx wrote:wouldn't developing m3ga man or s0nic take longer to make than SE?

While you bring up valid points, if you were to make s0nic or Megaman with portals, it'd really need a rework of almost everything. Megaman and Sonic both work completely different than mario, they have a lot more enemies they have to program, not to mention Megaman has 8 robot masters + wily castle bosses to program (6 robot masters for game 1), and Sonic's got a different boss for each zone.Franpa wrote: Why would Sonic be hard to make? Mega man you'd just change the fire balls to shoot straight and give him a dash ability, unless you want to use Megaman from before he got dash. Super Mario Bros. is a fairly simple game when compared to Megaman or Sonic (as I see it anyway), so even if you were to simply start off by using Mari0 as a base, it'd still be a heavy load of work needed.

Of course it would be hard. The slopes, the enemies, the bosses, the hoop-di-loops, the special stages, and if that isn't bad enough, you want to add portals?

Well Mari0 SE will feature both sloped ground as well as gravity inverting gel and you could just combine both of those to create the top half of a loop-d-loop.
