nice also if you want to do true 8-bit (look up an nes palette) use 3 colours (unless you're doing the mega man trick with two sprites then you can use 6.)

thats the problem small (or baby) yoshi is 16x24 like small mario in smw, insted of 16x16.

I tried them, and they have some problems, the walking animation makes him walking in reverse(i fixed it swapping the 2nd and the 3rd column).
about the customizable colors, they need 4 sheets:

I could make two versions one with the portal gun and (if some makes the mod) without it (and mabey a tongue sprite)

It's called modding. It'll help you out. It won't be that hard to do...
When I release my Koopa mod, the small koopa had to be bigger, so My format will allow bigger pics.
You can use that when I release it...

They are just different skins. Well, Rainbow Dash you can jump more than one time, but they're mostly just skins.

WOW. Those characters look fudging amazing. I am SO using Link. Also, will certain characters have their own maps based on their game? I would love to go through dungeons with a portal gun.
